btw, Building your own computer can save you alot of money on a decent machine.

DMF, if you ever plan to build yourself a computer, the motherboard should come with instructions. like putting together a model, but with computer parts.

Oh yea just like  model car right?
Well thats just great since when I was little I didn't build models, I played with Barbie colld, they come already assembled :)

I'm pretty sure I could put one togeather, I mean almost everything has a specific place where it goes, and I do know the difference between agp, pci and the different types of ram, but I'm more of a software end user, not the person makeing the stuff. I'm actually quite proud of myself, I got this computer at a pawn shop, modem, box, monitor and all and actually installed more memory and it works :)

There ya go DMF, try out some new things. Just dont plug in the "Primary Master" into the "Power Supply":aok

And as for that wal-mart deal. Yes, they will offer the same products as everyone else. But I agree with all others, they will replace the true quality of the video cards, CPU's, RAM, etc... with lower grade products that will "crash and burn" on ya so you come back and buy more! Wal-Mart bugs everything, and had I not built my own computer, it would have self-destructed by now! That's how manufacturers make it, put in a self-destruct timer so they come back and buy another computer.

Well, making your own computer i'd say takes the ticking time-bomb off the CPU and RAM. AND DONT BUY IT FROM WAL-MART! THEY WILL PUT IT ON THE CHIPS AND HARDWARE!

I work  at wal-mart and i think you guys are reading too much into this.
from what i  understand its just gonna be a mix and match componants thing, tower, keyboard ,mouse etc.As a matter a fact I asked the  electronics manager if this means we'll be selling memory sticks and she said no.:)  but we'll know for sure in 2 weeks when we set this up at my store:aok ..............on a side note I don't work on the floor but they have me look at the computer return's to see if everthings in the box and I'm like "well all the memorys gone  or the harddrives  missing:rofl " it would be funny if we didn't smash these units and trash them:cry  wal-mart gets almost no  credit for any PC returns they are write-offs:(
