what about after the war

There has ever only been ONE good air war... there will never be another.

Korea... two types duking it out...  SUCKS  AW tried it... Never more than 10 people in the arena.

Vietnam... 3 types and a SAM.  'worst air war EVAR'

WWI?  haha, sure.  Sounds neat when people talk about it... but flying at 75mph in 90HP planes throwing rocks really sucks... Anyone who has ever played one will tell you.  AW tried this too... Never more than 10 people in the arena.

Iraq? haha ouch... my pancreas!  One airforce... big fun.

Face it kids... There was ONE good air war.  And while all future combat will be won by application of air power, the odds of another great air war are about 1 in 50 billion.

I have played WWI sims over the years & I liked them. It may not draw the crowd that the more glamorous "cadillac of the sky" mustang draws, but all the basic principles are the same.

If everyone is in 75mph planes & firing like weapons; you know, as long as the planes all have interupter gears (the major advancement of WWI air combat), it all boils down to pilot skill & you don't really notice the slower speeds & slower roll & climb rates etc. at least I never paid attention to it. I also never played a WWI sim in the style of AH...so my view is skewed towards the AI games.

I don't know why people keep asking for something like this when HiTech has stated many times previously that he is not going to make a WWI, Korea or Vietnam flight sim.

WW1 done well would be fine, its just getting a D- in history seems the norm these days and nobody is interested in it because they don't know jack s*** about it.

Principals are the same, and there were a lot of very interesting combat a/c 1916-1918.

No, its not everybodys cup of tea, but then some like jet sims and don't like AH too. They are out there.

...anyways, been debated before many times. I will leave it there.

Korea and Vietnam werent so different from World War II, as far as air to air combat went.  There were still massive dogfights in each.  In fact, towards the end of the Vietnam War, the dogfights between F4s and Mig17s/21s became more and more intense.
