I think I'd prefer Cormwells.
Here we are, living on top of a molten ball of rock, spinning around at a 1,000mph, orbiting a nuclear fireball and whizzing through space at half-a-million miles per hour. Most of us believe in super-beings which for some reason need to be praised for setting this up. This, apparently, is normal.

Which armament?  I think there were versions with 2 pounder and 6 pounder guns, and some with 3 inch howitzers.

For a "pure" Brit tank (i.e. not the firefly) my choice would be a Churchill variant, probably like a seven-ish [mumble](darn Brits and their multi-variant, spit 16, mossie 43, etc.)[/mumble].  Heavy armor like a Tiger, weaker gun like a T-34/76, kinda slow.   But definitely "all Brit."

The (surprisingly under-rated) Cromwell was in service from 1943 and was an important tank second only to the Churchill as the prime British tank in 21st Army Group. It was the first British tank, to combine reliability, higher speed, an acceptable aramament. It had a lower silhouette and was superior to the Sherman with, I believe, a de-rated Merlin (or Meteor powerplant) . Combat versions of the tank were armed with the 95mm close support gun or the British 75mm QF, and armoured up to 101mm on the front plate.

The Cromwell is said to be the successor or further development of the Crusader tanks.

Better than a Sherman, a MkIV or T-34/75, but not up to the standard of a Panther, IMHO the best pure Brit tank of that (short) period 1944/45.
