I actually watched the video now, and it's pretty lame.

There are plenty of Hondas that will run mid 12's if they have a blower and a bottle like the Fartvergnugen machine there.

Looks more like a racist thing than anything to do with car performance.  If they are trying to make fun of guys who spend lots of money on cosmetics instead of performance parts, they could do it without the ethnic or brand references.

I've seen plenty of white guys driving "riced-out" VWs around here that can barely hang with my stock Si even though they wasted $7-10k more than I did.  Those posers are just as lame as the ricers IMHO.  Even worse if they are making weak bellybutton movies like that.    ;)

Nice car Regurge, is that a 2002?  There is a big club of 2002 owners here in the PNW, they're great cars!

Found out that the 1:1 ratio in 5th allows better torque than a regular OD gear.  These cars LOVE high RPMS, manual states for break in period:
"Do not exceed 4500 rpm or 100 mph during the initial break in period".....

Man that gonna be hard!

i was curious if the 'hopped up' lil 4 cyl car thing was an unfortunate nationwide trend or just another californism.

especially in the sunset distric here i see these purple hondas with giant fins and metallic yellow rims bouncing along sounding ridiculuous. muffler missing??

granted, mostly they are highschool kids but when i was in highschool my first car was a 73 lemans that went, ya know, fast and it was primered, not due to fashion but as combat against the rust and in preparation of that ever elusive paintjob.

i'd a been laughed at showing up in some little silly 4cyl with a big pink fin......<shakes head>...kids....

oh yeah and what's with people putting the big nike logo on their back window? are they really advertising nike or does that mean something else - like look i'm a pimp?

I went to a car show a couple of weeks ago that had some 500 cars at it.  The funniest part of the whole thing were some high school kids that had entered their tricked out '86 Honda Accords.  Talk about out of place.

I saw the title of this thread and thought I'd be looking at Sport Bikes.   :D

Looking to purchase a middleweight and debating between the Honda CBR600F4i and the Yamaha YZF600R.

Any opinions from owners???

What makes me laugh is three or four spoke 15-16inch alu-rims with painted drum-brakes inside.
I drive old Peugeot with Fondmetal rims but at least I got disks around. Nice to have when braking down from 200kmh  :D

My favorite was the Ferrari 355 with the Porsche "turbo" emblem on it.

Who would paste a "turbo" emblem on a 400hp $130,000 car?  I think that takes the cake.

The cross-drilled brake rotor "spacers" were pretty funny though :D

I like the BMW in terms of comfort level.

But comfort level is low down on the list at my time in life.  ;)

I could afford a Impreza Turbo on a 97 plate, but the insurance costs for anyone of my age would be impossible for me to meet.

Unfortunately I'm banned from driving for a year since being diagnosed as epileptic, so it's all academic.  :)

Pick the new ZX-6R has hte ponies and with the new suspension is a real performer.  But then again I am very biased towards the Kaw's.  And they look so damn perty in green.

for a new car, for 30 grand you cant beat the 2001.5 passat with quattro and v6

my dad had to pick between the WRX and the passat, but for 5 grand the passat won..

leather, sooo much nicer, looks better, more trunk, better sound, more luxury, though it does have 35 less hp and doesnt accelerate nearly as well as the wrx. its still good enuf tho.

i found an awesome bmw 540i 1995 for 10 grand, but since im 22 they wanna charge me 2800 a year for insurance which i cannot afford  :(

the insurance would be 2/3 as much as my my payments on a 2 year 8000 loan! sick.

Golly-geeed insurance.
