Hi..I've been using this stick for a month now and was wondering if there is a way to get the mode switch to work..Same with the slider and mouse button on throttle.

Getting used to HOTAS & I like it a lot..Except the hat switch on the throttle is starting to go(i use it to toggle gear..>>>F4u dweeb i am..:)


Anyway..would luv to get that mode switch and mouse button working..Any help appreaciated.

Hey sirloin. I had to RMA my first X-52 because the mode switch was D.O.A.

 I also use my hat switch as flaps & to shift gears in GV's so it sees a lot of use & mine is just fine.

 So do this brother, if you have XP - go to control panel - click "printers & other hardware" - left click "game controllers" - you should see the X-52 listed, highlight it & click the "properties" tab

 This will bring up a "diagnostis" type of screen.

 Now move the mode switch through it's settings, if you see the red indicator light move in conjuntion with the switch (if the light matches the actual position of the switch) the switch is good, if you don't see a light, the switch is bad.

 Do this & let me know what you find please.

I went through 2 (or was it 3) X45s, returned when the hats went. (thank you best buy guarantee!)

My X52 (got it when the last 45 went...) is 3 months old, best stick i've ever had. But, when it goes I'm bettin it will be a hat, and I'm betting I'll buy something (gulp) CH.

Thanks for the tip on the mode switch, never reallly got mine set up...and maybe it wasnt working when I fiddled with it!

I ended up disabling the 'magic' mouse through device manager on my X52, it's trouble that thing I tells ya.

Don't use modes as I'm primarily a fighter guy, but yeah, use the macro programmer supplied. I used it for the entire stick mapping process incase I need to swap out sticks for some reason. Every button is mapped to it's keyboard equivilant.

Sirloin, I had to input the slider seperatly in controls.....in select joystick.

I have it set up for RPM....only thing that I could hook it up to.

I never had a problem with the mouse switch.
