Ok, so we make the jump from fake to faux to fox leaving the phrases still disimilar. Guess my sense of humor just isn't refined enough to find this funny if he was indeed making a joke.

Sounds like he is a fine servant of terrorists.  Isn't this aiding an abetting  terrorism?  Doesn't freedom of speach end when you are obviously lying? Especially when your words are intended to incite the death of innocent people?

Well, my first assumption was that straffo was countering my criticism of CBS with his own of Fox News by relating Shaky's "fake but accurate" reference to CBS' reporting the faked record of Bush's Guard service to Fox's motto. However, since they tied together rather weakly I thought that perhaps I was missing something hence my questiopn to him "how so"?

We had a guy that was famous for unearthing fake SEALs, fake medal winners and that sort of thing.  He wrote two books and had a pretty impressive military career.

When he came to meet us at the navigation software firm I worked for, he was doing a lot of magazine reviews of electronic navigation devices/technology.  While he chatted with us, he was *insisting* in free copies of the program so that he could give it out to his pals.  After all, he was the world famous Mr So-And-So.  He went on to further bragg he hacks/cracks all sorts of stuff.  And he doesnt even own a legal copy of his operating system or the Word programs he used to write his books.

Nice.

I hadnt seen my boss ticked off at much, but he was peeved.  We declined Mr So-And-So's demands and he later chimed off a not-very-nice review.  Whatever

I suspect you rarely if ever watch Fox news, like many you are probably just going on what you hear others say.  Or, if you have watched it, you decided it wasn't a good news channel because it didn't say what you wanted to hear.  (even if that decision was a subconcious one).

If you deny my suspicions, I would be interested in you giving me some examples of what you find unbalanced?  And tell me how your news channel of choice is more balanced.

thanks

Faux News:
Fairly Unbalanced.

It's a joke toward fox.  They choose "Fair and balanced" and using what is known as a "play on words" you can create whats called "humor"

I take this as your admission that you have nothing, zero, zilch to back up your little word game.  For all you know, Fox is the most accurate, balanced and correct news channel in existance.   You may not even get it where you live.  So give it up.

Oh wow, a big picture really proves a point.  Gee, I am speechless.  I am in  awe of your powers of debate.

Pls do me a favor, dont post anything so asnine in the future, it only makes you look pretty stupid.

Still can't answer me or prove a point.  Sad.

word games and humour dont have to have any relation to fact, fox news could be the american equivilent to this hour has 22 minutes for all he cares. the word play still holds, and would still be funny.
