Remember when Forged papers might have worked?
« Reply #45 on: May 27, 2006, 11:47:53 PM »
I have nothing for or against Fox News as a news-source. I do however have something against Fox as a corporation, especially after they cancelled Firefly. Not because the show wasn’t commercially successful (it was), but because the show’s slightly anti-government and anti-corporate theme was contrary to “the values FOX want to promote as a company”. Any media corporation that tries to promote a set of “values” through its programming is an enemy of mine.

uvwpvW, love the avatard! Trust me, I know what I'm doing! Kinda fits the threadjack with Faux News.

Anyone that does'nt think Faux is biased has their head buried so far up their, well you know... Who's the guy with the snow white hair that's supposedly an independant and has a show on there at night? I saw a few of his remarks the other day and that guy is so far out in right field you need a radio telescope just to get reception.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

I was not countering anything :)

It was more an humourous attempt ,I find CBS and Fox equally unacurate an biased ...

Fox news is for the journalism what  Grand Guignol is for theatre.

What motivates someone to lie about military service only to defame those who wear the uniform? I put those animals who prey on children lower in the pit of depravity but not by much.

Well, there is very much a correlation to what this guy did and what CBS attempted to do. You somehow tied Fox News in, why, I still don't understand.

This just in: anything said or written by human beings is biased.

The following is a partial list of biased news sources.

AmerBC, AusBC, BBC, CBC, CNN,  FOX, Al-Jazeera, Reuters, UPI, AP, NYT, Washington Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe, ESPN,....

Fake News

since when is CNN a "local affiliate"?  I don't see how this list adds to the discussion, hijacked or otherwise.

Maybe someone can point out to Parker the Fox news they are talking about is the local news shows on the Fox channel, not the national Fox news channel.  I don't think he understands the differance.

I don't think I'm the one who needs to understand anything. I know that I have hit a nerve questioning your precious Fox News but where do you think the affliates get thier news? Do you think that your local station really has reporters anywhere other than your city? No they don't they spit out the same kind of crap that thier parent company does and if you don't think the parent company has anything to say about what thier affliates do or air then you are a complete and total idiot!!! I'm not trying to say that CNN is anymore reliable than the rest but damn so many on this board actually believes they are "fair and balanced".

Man, you have issues.  And quite a misunderstanding of the News game.  Do you really think Fox news, or any other major network news has the time to preview the news shown on every single affiliate prior to each and every show???

I seriously doubt they even review half the shows after airing.

I am not obsessing or defending any news channel or or company, just would like to see you understand the reality.  Your comment about CNN shows where you screwed up.

I'll tell you what, spend some time during the day watching fox, abc or cbs news and then at night watch you local station and see if it resembles anything like what the parent company was saying all day long. Anything other than local news almost always comes from the parent company.

Edit: If you want to find the truth than go to the internet because that is the only place where you can find what really happens.

Sure it does, the locals dont have and can't afford national and international news gathering, so they get those stories from their related national news organizations.  What does that have to do with the cost of tea?  Do you think if CNN had local news affiliates they would be any differant?   Don't fault the others for being bigger, don't put CNN on a pedestal for being smaller.

Unless I am mistaken, the major national Fox News is the most watched news station in the country.  Pretty good for a news organization that isn't even available in all markets.
