Plane felt lighter? Did anyone think to check their deadband/dampening settings? Maybe that changed the feel of the FM?

These settings were reset with new patch (deadband and dampening)

but you were right and the rest was wrong.

I could've sworn that something was off with the P-38 low speed handling which had nothing to do with the flaps.

I didnt really believe Pyro's post either but it made me finally do my homework and test it.
I've flown the -J in AH 2.053, 2.072 and 2.08 under identical circumstances today.. and well.. they handle identical when getting slow (without flaps).

Perhaps the flap thingy triggered the impression of different low speed stability but the mass hysteria is a little bit embarassing now

Storch why are you so bitter over a video game? The 109s fly great now...be happy. Its been said in the past but I will say it again....If you think you can do better, go ahead and try. If you dont like the game, just quit. Its pretty damn simple.

The drag model is the same, but no one was using full flaps in 2.07 because of the bug.

Now you can see how much better the P-38s retain E because it's very difficult to burn down speed and get slow enough to get full flaps.
