Saw a B-24 and B-17 in formation over Los Gatos

Saw it today while driving with the wife out of Subway at around 6pm. Nearly crashed the car, pulled over and started filming. Woman is in shock as usual, not seeing what the big deal is.

Thats cool.

When they were here last year I shot accross three lanes of freeway and got off then stood in the bed of the truck as the B-24 flew over at about 2000 feet.

Awsome.





I also a few weekends back saw a UH-1 huey sitting in a field looking like it had just come from Vietnam, so I parked and went and talked to the pilot. They had landed at a local RC plane field to take pictures with a scale huey and give rides.   The thing was filled with cool stuff, had a pair of M-60s hanging off the sides and the pilot flew them in Vietnam and this one saw service there too. He said when they restored it they found bullet holes.

Fun stuff.

Saw this beauty take off from the Museum of Flight in Seattle last weekend.  Had just enough warning to put on my telephoto lens.

A Lancaster is scheduled to be in Oshkosh this summer.

A B-29 (FIFI), a B-24 (Diamond Lil), up to 5 B-17's (incl. Aluminum Overcast) and a Lancaster from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, all sitting in the same airfield.
