Force Feedback Issue (MS FF PPro 2)
« Reply #16 on: June 08, 2006, 06:12:02 PM »
Hey skuzzy sorry for the late response. I'm at work and posted earlier when I had a chance. I meant to post last night while I was at home.

Yes when I disable my joystick in game it goes limp for lack of a better description. When it is active I think I feel some resistance, but not enough to say its acting like it is supposed to. It is plugged in and when power is turned off on the computer it slams to the side. Always has dont know why exactly, but it is doing all the same things it has always done. When power is on it does center and turns on and off when I move my hand in and out of the infared sensor in the grip. Just when the game runs, it aint centering or acting like yalls is doing.

As far as checking what the joystick does unplugged from computer but power going to it, I'll have to get back to you on later tonight when I get off work.

I'm running Windows XP professional with a SB Audigy Gamer card with the game port daughter card. I am running my JS on the game port on my motherboard which is a Gigabyte SINXP1394. It has another name, but I cant find it on the Gigabyte site.

Still no deference. no tension either way. Im using XP home SP2.
Worked fine with patch #1 but #2 killed it.
Im not a rea fan of paying to BETA test someone elses sofware. Besides why do you guys have to always fool with the game it was just fine before.

Anybody who believes that a game that isnt constantly being updated is not "broke" is delusional.  They say the only constant in Life is Change, but this is even more true in the gaming world.

And if you think Aces High is the only game that gets some people FUBAR after an update, you havent played many online games.  Try dealing with Atari's tech support.  At least Skuzzy and HT and Pyro will talk to people about what's going on and work on resolving problems.  It will take you 30 minutes of hunting just to find a way to contact Atari (if you are lucky that is), and then they'll likely blame a vendor and say its not their problem.  But they'll still issue a patch 2 months later.  lol

Same as Flism here.......

No centering forces in game at all.  Outside game works just fine.
When on the runway testing, I get the "don't move your controls so rapidly" message, if that's any help.

The controls window in game recognizes the MSFF2 and all the little sliders are showing where I had them, the axes' line show a number representing where the stick is being shown to be at in it's relative axis, and the X and Y numbers are jumping around like crazy when there is no input on my part on the stick.  It is unable to self center.

Oh well, gotta get ready for work.  No flying tonight b4 work to rid the daily frustrations.  Guess I'll take em with me ;)

Please don't make me break out the X-52, I really don't want to mess with the mapping on it.  I am too comfortable with the MSFF2.

Good luck finding this bugger HT, Skuzzy, and crew.  Thanks for the effort and the updates!

MS FFB 2 here as well,
same story as above, no feedback, floppsy does it.
Also, I had to remap most controls, and for ages had no rudder to the right, no pitch back and no roll to the right... fixed it, or it fixed itself somehow..

g'luck fixing this :)
