Speaking of which, F4U-1C was perked because it surpassed 20% of sorties for a tour or 2, so, ? for Pyro, you plan to do this just for planes you choose or are you going to do this on a consistent basis?  I'd be VERY curious to see the numbers for sorties flown after this tour.

So an La7 pilot equates to be a new flyer? Jeepers I hope not. I was one of those La7's you saw.

Quit complaining Rip..you could be sitting around having to spend time with the wife like me!

My monitor went tango uniform 2 weeks ago and I would love too go against a dozen Nik's and 15 LA7's in a goon right now!!

On a positive note...the wife and I are having a great time.  I might just quit AH forever.....

hehe, I'm not really sure. I don't pay much attention to most a/c types of the others except squaddies. Come to think of it, ribman (squad mate) was flying an La7 at 1 point.

You know, I think thats why I enjoy fighting the knights the most. They seem to fly more of a variety of aircraft than the bishops, at least from an enemy point of view. Rooks may or may not fly a variety, I'm not sure.

I dunno, I see a helluva lot of N1ks and Spits in Knitland too.  I just want the developers to be consistent in their perk plane approach.  Pyro stated that the Chog was perked due to its popularity, I would expect him to be consistent when another plane type is overused, though I'm not quite sure how to pull up stats on the tours for % of plane use, so before I complain about 'no consistency', I'd like to see the numbers first.  :)

I was looking at some stats last night.  The N1k is by far the most used plane.  It was approaching 14,000 kills, the Spit IX was approaching 11,000, and the LA7 around 8,100.

Last I checked (a couple days ago), the N1K was being used less this tour than last (percentage wise).  The P-51 was also being used more than the La-7.

yep against the knots there were mostly niks spits and lags but an occassional p47 or 190/109.   The real way I could tell they weren't flabby ol vets tho was that they .... fought.   There is lot's of action these days if you want it.   I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of bombers trying to spoil the fite also.

None of this can last of course but it is fun.  As the new guys get better in the lags and niks we will see more people wanting to perk em.

another thing I noticed was the way newbies got on channel one and wanted to know why the Chog was perked... They all felt it was an ill handling dog.

Just a question. How are we determining the percentage of use. Is there a stat I don't know about? Number of kills won't be an accurate reference due to multiple kill sorties. Is there a stat that shows number of sorties for plane type?

Deaths were real close to kills on the three I mentioned earlier, but I cannot find anything that shows the exact number of sorties.  Has anyone been able to find or calculate this?
