Just wondering, is it possible to do the Ju 87 Stuka's trademark dive? You know the really steep one? I attempted it but the screen went red. I was just wondering if it was actually possible.

I'd have a better chance in running into a Dodo Bird in the middle of rush hour, walking down the I-5 with two hookers in tow before I see a useful post from glock89- Ack-Ack

The screen going red is from "red out" (maybe it's called that) pushing too many negative G's.  You are in effect trying to push your eyes out of your head ;)

Sure, but instead of just pushing forward, try rolling inverted over the target and then pulling nose down to the target.

Kind of like a spit S.

Also be sure to have a good amount of altitude if you are using the 1800kg bomb, it needs plenty of alt to arm.

It also has a good frag radius. So you need alt to pull up and get away as well.

the real stuka had  a utomatic setting that would pull the plane up after bomb release incase the pilot blacked out, would be nice if we had this option, also u could see through the floor in the stuka which helpd with there dives along with the markings painted on the canopy  with the different angles  to the horizon

if we had all this working the stuka would be ausomly accurate

Quick question here:  Doesn't the artificial horizon provide dive angle indication?  The ticks along the outside of the circle, progressing through 30 and 45 degree angles of nose-down attitude?  Those should provide an accurate dive-bank indication, although yeah...the real Stuka had lines painted inside the glass to show the angle of the dive.

You can see thro' the floor of the stuka in AH, but not with a centre line bomb loaded 'cos it blocks the view!

Rather defeats purpose of floor window :)

Hmm, the artificial horizon is set for 30 and 60 degree increments; you can see the numbers in the cockpit of the Ki-84, if that's any help.

HEY!  I know the SECRET reason that window's there...

It's for the A-T version of the Stuka I've been waiting for with the twin 37mm's :aok

Comming soon!

I hope...

The Ju-87g would rock, as long as the IL-2M3 came with it.

That would be soooo cool! I think the Stuka would be everybodys favourite plane just for the sirens!
