It's not like we never criticize our own governments or like others never criticize our governments. What we don't see a lot of here is others criticizing their own governments. We could use a bit more of that, especially in this thread.

you know.. you really need to understand what has been happening here in order to understand the knife amnesty.

there have been a series of high profile violent stabbings here in a short space of time, that is why it has been introduced.

i think it is a good thing.

A domestic knife cuts only one way, and is therefore MUCH safer for use by homeowners otherwise untrained in the use of edged weapons.

An assault-knife has two edges and is FAR too dangerous to be used by the average civilian.
