Wingman channel
« on: June 05, 2006, 04:19:07 PM »
I found a need for a wingman channel in larger operations when many planes in the sky.  usually have to monitor a mission channel and local channel, but in some operations, being able to talk to a wingman would have helped get past the comm chatter.

Possible for a third comm channel, or the ability to at least monitor a third channel for voice?

Ability to dictate which vox channels had priority would be nice too.  Wingman having priority over locaL, which could be set to have priority over the set channel.

Actually, looking for a wingman VOX channel, not text.  For use in the heat of the furball when neccessary.  Already have local channel, which can get kind of busy in large furball or operation, and usually the set channel is on squadren channel.  Looking for a 3rd VOX channel, or at least eh ability to monitor VOX on a third channel (monitoring a squadren channel for voice orders).

Been asked for at least a dozen times that I can remember.

When you .wingman gameid it should not just turn his icon white. Should also automaticly tune you to a 3rd voice channel private to him.

Not that its helps with the wing man VOX.. But I have the beeps on my tuneable VOX channel off but they are turned on for my Ranged VOX

That way I can tell if the incomming chat is from squadies or from range...
