They told me the U.S. team was supposed to be pretty decent this year. I just can't believe that the U.S. fielded a team of women that are doing that well against all the rest of the world.

the US is ranked 5?  heck, its not even a team and no one knows who any of them are and we are ranked 5?  What the heck is wrong with all you brits euros etc who obsess about this kick ball game all your lives and some kids who had time after soccer camp go out for pizza and beer and end up ranked 5?

I think the USA has a great chance.  To get through the first round, all we need to do is come in the top two in our group, and with the Czechs rated FIFA #2, we can probably do that.

If we are #2 in our group and advance, then all we have to do to advance is beat the #1 finisher from the next group.  That will probably be Brazil.   :(
