Heads up in Scottsdale - Me262 on its way
« on: June 11, 2006, 04:49:15 PM »
The first new build Me262 took off from Paine Field about noon time sunday (June 11th) on its delivery flight to its new home in Scottsdale, Arizona.  It should be there any time now.  This is the two-seater version Me262-b1c "White 1."

Enjoy

Perk it.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

I was hoping that someone in the Phoenix area had taken photos upon it's arrival.  I was notified after the 262 had left Everett, WA and was not there to take any shots.

In the meantime, here's a video of it's single seat sibling performing at an airshow in Germany a couple of weeks ago.  The first public demo in more than a half a decade.

I was hoping to actually see and hear the plane fly in that video. Unfortunately, it appears the media is indeed the same everywhere. I never could here the plane for the constant blabbering. Thanks for trying though, I guess it was better than nothing at all.

If it's still in Scottsdale at the airpark,. I'll shoot pics of it... or rather get Nuke to, that guy has a wicked sweet camera kit.

Is it still in Scottsdale?

Do not attribute to malice what can be easily explained by incompetence, fear, ignorance or stupidity, because there are millions more garden variety idiots walking around in the world than there are blackhearted Machiavellis.

Nice pics, Rip.

Question is, how much would anyone want to spend for a ride in it?

I'd pay whatever it took.

One fine looking airplane!
