I've spent most of the last two days in FT, mostly because I've been getting my oscar handed to me elsewhere and needed the confidence boost (it's been a worse-than-usual tour for me).

Oh, and:

FM2 + FT = Perk machine

I had to ditch on a 4-kill sortie today, (burned up my gas for the trip home saving a friendly from a Ki-84) and STILL took home 10 perks out of it. :D
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Ignore Saxman, fly only low ENY planes in FT. The spit16 is crazy uber, you don't need a mildcat.

What I hate about FT is that I have to go to bed now, instead of fight there. And I've got to work all weekend, and by the time I have time to fly again it will be gone again.:cry

I wish it was in the rotation about 2-3 times as much. Even as bad as I am, I still fly there if it is up.

You guys make the most of it for me. I won't be there, so there won't be near as many easy kills.

As with any base once you get your gear rolling your fair game. My first night on donut two months ago was getting vulched at FT. I was lucky the guy broke my plane and didnt kill me but I learned that all the expectations you carry about a fair fight dont mean much if the other guy is thinking something else. I also learned how to look around in the tower.:aok

FT is a great place to teach and learn and try new stuff. It sure beats the smack of the same old same old. I played most of the day today and saw one cv fight and the rest was fights over vehicle fields and base captures. FT makes a nice break from all that stuff. Every map should have one and about three times as many fleets.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

I dislike Donut because all action seems to be concentrated in FT and flying there feels like I'm playing Quake, not a combat flight sim. Just mindless furballing. Of course I could go fly elsewhere, but since everyone wants to furball in FT it's the only place to go to. The alternative is to do some strategic bombing alone.

Apparently there aren't many of us who don't like FTs and I guess we just have to tolerate maps like Donut. They don't last forever. I suppose I have to check other arenas the next time Donut is up.

I get cherried in FT quite a bit when I'm not paying any attention or get target fixated...  Which happens often, granted.

I am, however, amazed at how many good 1v1s I've found in there in the past few days...  Sure, there are 20 other planes in the vicinity, but at the edges you can usually find a like-minded individual and go at it...  And of course on Donut you're already at 5k and can be in on the action in about 90 seconds max...  I love it :)

No. They can have their way and you will sometimes see me there with them. But I don't agree that fighter towns are the best thing this game can offer.

not sure I understand.... are you saying that if there is any other valid choice....

People won't play the lame strat game?

I have news... even when there is no FT... I am not playing your game...I may be there but I'm not playing for the same goals you are.

You're right, it's not the best thing this game can offer.... KOTH is pretty fun too:aok

As far as the MA goes... it's pretty much the best thing the MA has to offer.

Agree 100% with lazs.  Except if I see FHs go down I leave for another area.
