What is more important, sealing the driveway or spending time that will never ever come again with your kids?
Priorities, sometimes they need to be examined then re examined.
If you have a Dad, spend some time with him. This is the 43rd year that I haven't had one to spend time with. If you don't know how freaking important a Dad is to your life, I feel sorry for you.
If you ARE a Dad, take time to realize just how blessed your life is for having your kids with you. There are Dad's overseas, some of whom haven't seen their kid yet. There are others who suffer from an estrangement from their kids and dread this day knowing they are missing something totally intangible yet so damn important.
You pass this way but once. Don't screw it totally up, your family is just about the single most important purpose in your existance while you have kids. Realize it and act on it.

If you've read my posts on my kids in any of the other threads in the forums you will realize I cherish and place a very high value on the time I spend and have spent with them.
My comments were as much tongue in cheek as anything.
This morning I had a bowl of Cheerios for breakfast my daughter gave to me as parrt of Fathers day.
I hate cheerios But I ate them anyway.
Little figurine statues out the whazoo of an assortment of things
I have no less then 4 necklaces hanging on or around my desk all gifts from my kids.
I dont nor never have taken a liking to wearing jewelry especially necklaces. I dont even wear my wedding band and only rarely wear a ring my grandfather gave to me on his deathbed.
I also have virtually every fathers day card either of my kids ever gave me. and an assortment of pictures they drew for me over the years for whatever reason.
Last year for fathers day I got to go to a father daughter dance for my daughters girlscout troops where I was the lucky person to be the one holding the napkin when the music stopped and along with one father from each table got to suffer the indignity of dancing to the YMCA song.
My wife upon seeing this was laughing hysterically and said to my daughter "Kaitlyn your father definitely loves you because there is NO WAY he would ever do that for anyone else in the world even if his life depended on it."
I cherish each and every moment with my kids I realize it goes by wayyy too fast.
But sometimes. just sometimes a father would just like to be left alone for a day.
In this case the driveway needs to be sealed before next weekend as we are having a big blowout for my son for his graduation. I am simply not going to have time for it between now and Thursday ( when the actual graduation ceremony is) as I will be leaving for work very early and coming home very late.
Thursday is the graduation. Friday I have a bunch of cooking ( grilling and smoking) and getting ready to do for everyone coming on Sat.
It is obvious why I cant do it on Sat.
Couldn't do it yesterday as I finally finished up the sidewalk.
All 7,200 pounds of it (miscalculated amount of cement used at 3,000 pounds)
That leaves today.
