ctrl I toggles  fps , and memory ussage .

theres sort of a basic sample and what to watch for and how to tune the settings /video sliders ingame for best performance vs best eye candy.

anytime your getting close to maxing the memory usage its time to tune the performance slider to the right more and if your getting stuttering its best to watch this and tune accordenly.

unlimited is good but remember its locked to your monitor refresh rate with vsync on ...(yes leave vsync on)

START > RUN, type dxdiag in command line and ENTER... let the diag complete its check.

On first page, theres a button "SAVE ALL INFO"... this will create a txt file. Post the first third of it here (with all the system and device info)....

From what i can tell, you have 2 main problems.

Too little RAM and additionally, your onboard graphics use up some of the RAM.

You can try lowering all sliders to performance, resolution and textures to lowest settings and pray it works. Dont worry about FPS, theyll never be high enough for limiting to make a difference.

What you need is a graphics card and/or  more RAM.

PS: Also, you hardware accel for Sounds should be down to 3/4 (Standard). You find that in the dxdiag sounds tab.

You have a Via/S3 video card. That won't run AH, I don't think. I used to have some sort of S-3 video card back when AH came out of beta, and it wouldn't run back then either. If it's an integrated video card, chances are AH won't run on it.

You don't have the latest version of Direct X.  The latest version is 9.0c
