Hi HTC:
I thought I would put these ideas out here as suggestions and look for comments.
Can the film viewer be enhanced in the following ways mainly to enhance capabilities for movie creation purposes?
[list=1]
- In "fixed" view mode can the distance zoom be increased so that the aircraft that the camera is centered around can be viewed up-close in detail?
True, the "external" view will give you the up-close zoom, however for movie-making purposes the "fixed" camera view is much more dramatic because you can actually see the action/movement/maneuver of the aircraft (e.g. rolling, pulling up, etc.) relative to it's surroundings since the camera is fixed vs. in the external view where the aircraft is fixed and you can only get a sense of the maneuvers by watching the surroundings rotate around the aircraft so it appears the aircraft is fixed in space while everything spins around it. The fixed camera view is also a much more natural camera shot.
- Can the camera focal point in the external, chase, and fixed views be offset and moved about so that the aircraft selected isnt' in the direct center of the screen?
This would provide for more flexibility around catching different action happening on the screen - e.g. if you have other aircraft flying around that you want to highlight as well. For instance in "padlock" mode viewing externally the padlocked aircraft is in large part covered up by the aircraft you are viewing from since it is in the center of the frame which also covers up the padlocked aircraft as well.
This would also provide a means to create some other interesting shots by moving the camera offset around the aircraft - e.g. panning laterally from left to right across a formation of aircraft for instance.
- Can track-ir be enabled as an option for viewing in the film-viewer when you're in the internal view inside the cockpit?
- Can padlock viewing be enabled without having the need to turn on icons in the filmviewer?
Thanks for your consideration! I would be more than happy to test any of these features out as well.
