Right ot Wrong?
« on: August 01, 2006, 02:02:24 AM »
I lust went through a Physical...not feeling bad...lost my job, parents are diring, typical day.
Now my Dr. Tall blonde, long fingers have have words before...so goes the physical...

Normally to talkes blood test 10 to 15 days to get back... my Physical was last Friday, this Monday morning she has the results...

Saz my liver is at a ctritical state, blood count is all screwed up and knowing that I'm umemployeed right now wants to send me to Rehab..on top of this she wants to discuss it with my wife.

"Isn't this a break in Doctor and Patient confidentuality?"
This same doctor has misdiagnosted an injury, refifed treatment to an injury, violatated Doctor / patient confindentuality before.

Should I call her in the Morning and tell her she does NOT need to call my wife?

Maybe she's just trying to help you.

but you're right.. a "man's man" should not have to go through this.

Absolutely not.  Tell her if she contacts your wife without your permission you will report her for a HIPAA violation.

Spoke with people in CRO/HIPAA and was advised that my Dr cannot discuss my results with my wife and if so I can lodge a formal complaint though HIPAA.

I called my Dr's office and spoke to the Admin Manager and explained that to her and to let the Dr know.  Twenty minutes later the Dr calls and said that she never said she was going to call my wife. Also she said that now if I don't follow her advice she has the right to ask me to find another Dr to treat me. Because there should be mutual trust between Dr and Patient and if I'm not following her orders then I need to move on. That she has done all she could do to better my life.

I brought up the fact that she misdianosed a back injury 3 years ago "Compression Fracture" refused treatment on a swollen knee last year where I had to go to Urgent Care....then she was all pisssy over that, and how she yelled at me as I was in the waiting room, she was on the otherside of the counter and seen only me in the waiting room, the waiting room had 5 others inside, and went off on my Diabeties, drinking and my Liver.

She changed her mind about dropping me as a Patient. I have an appt to see her again 1st week in Sept.

Dude, read your first 2 posts.  You could barely form a comprehensive sentence.  If that's not the signal of a problem, I don't know what is.

The real question is, why the hell are you still seeing the same doc? You state several cases you believe you had bad medical care/advice. List several other issues you have with her, why in the world do you subject yourself to this? If I even began to think I was potentially getting bad advice or doctor wasn't top notch, I would be out of there fast.

Get yourself a new doctor, preferably one in a different practice that is not associated with your current one.  If you have no faith in your doctor then loose her.

On the other hand, if you’re new doctor says the same thing about your liver then that should be a pretty good wake up call.  Good luck Mac.

Time for a new Doc. You might heed some of those test results tho. I suspect any competent physician would tell you they are bad.
