Boot to safe mode and set the default video card to SVGA.  Should boot then.

By the way, you do not remove video card drivers using the Add/Remove hardware.  You use the Add/Remove Programs ICON.

You should be able to install your new drivers in safe mode. (If you have onboard video). Make sure your onboard video has not kicked in. If it has you need to disable it.

Look at the back of the puter. You would see another place you can plug the monitor in if you have on board. Otherwise read further.

I would turn it off.
Pull the card out,
put it back in,
boot to safe mode,

if it does not see the new hardware and ask for drivers go to the next step.

Install the drivers from the disk, and reboot.

Then you hopefully have it running. If not I still think its using the onboad if its there.

This is the most simply way to do it without going into device manager. Then you would have to know what to look for so you dont screw up other drivers.

I need to know if you have onboard video. Look at the back of the pc and look for the plug in for it. Not the one on the new card, but it should look just like it.

I have the same card, and had the same problem. I can try to walk you through this.

OK, your problem is not the same as mine if you dont have onboard vid, but thats ok. I wish I could be there this would be alot easier.

Your problem is you removed your video alltogether.

You must get into safe mode. I know you have tried. Tell me how your going into safe mode. Im not convinced you are doing this right.

Here are the proper steps.

1.   Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard. Just start hitting f8 from the time you hear the puter winding back up until the proper screen appears.

2.   Select (enable VGA mode) when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and then press ENTER. Then continue into safe mode.

The list of drivers you see is safe mode loading. This screen should go away and go to your startup screen. Give it a few minutes just in case its look or loading a driver. VGA mode will reduce screen res so the card will work without major drivers.

This should get you in. From here just use the driver disk to get going. You can change drivers later, but not the way you did the first time. We can jump that sheep when we get to it.

Let me know where this gets you.

So safe mode wont load, VGA mode dont work.... Im stumped my friend.  The last thing I can think of is repair/reload XP with your XP disk (not a format), or take MrRiplEy[H]'s advice and grab someone that can help in person.

Sorry I cant really help anymore unless I was there. Good Luck.
