I've found that beer and cigarettes work best for me. It takes some training before you are able to hold the cigarette in your left hand while using the same hand to work the throttle, gets really tricky when there are lots of throttle chops to be done ;)

I've had snacks before. Once in a while I bring my meal to the PC, but not if it's a pasta dish or something potentially messy.

Sometimes eating dinner while flying.   Every now and then I'll be swigging out of a pint of Belvedere Vodka, or a 1/5th of Cragganmore.   If not that, a beer is typically close by.

I smoke like a fiend when I play AH. I actually like the way it burns my eyes when I don't have time to grab the cigarette to set it in an ash tray. I have a baseball hat that I wear that has two beverage holders on top that hold my beer. It has a tube I suck on to administer the precious fluid. :D I keep an ice chest near by so I don't have to go to the fridge. This takes care of the beer issue quite well. I keep a bucket under the desk so I don't have to go to the bathroom every 15 mins. ewwww.  I'm just kidding! :lol  As far as food goes, well, beer is food isn't it? I have always though so. :aok

Don't eat and fly, but quite often a vodka martini is nearby and always a cig burning in the ashtray. Very frustrating to get into a dogfight and be jonesin for nicotine.

Funny thing though, to me, my flying gets better the more I drink....I think.

Beer and cigs!  well until I quit smoking last year.:aok

back in the aw3 days I was in a frball once and noticed i smelled something burning... a little time passes (I was busy) my foot starts hurting... turns out a cig had dropped out of the overfull ashtray and landed on my sock .. which eventually caught fire! (dont remember if I got the kill but my foot did heal up just fine)

good times!
