love the man and the show. to be totally honest, i listened for about two weeks (found him on the drive home one day after the attacks in september when i was surfing the am dial looking for news) before i found out he was black (and i WILL NOT use the pc term here intentionally...because i don't believe in pc anything). i was totally amazed!

i know several conservative people who are black, but never thought in a thousand years that i'd be hearing one on a nationally syndicated talk show. KUDOS to ken!

i like the show because, like many listeners, i'm pretty much politically conservative, and i like his information and stories regarding general aviation as well as i am also a private pilot. i also like the fact that, unlike many other shows you may be inclined to phone, you can actually get through to ken (i've talked to him a couple of times since i began listening).

The Black Avenger...He's sounding very racist on his comments on people with black skin.I despise people like him who cause controversy quoting "Racial Statistics" to further his "Radio Career"..Truly disturbing cause if he was the "White Avenger" spouting the same crap,he would be a card carrying member of the KKK broadcasting from some pirate radio station in Alabama...There are better ways to improve your community than making a name for your self using your skin colour and upbringing..Try volunteering in the community if you really want to make a lasting difference.

hehehehehehehehehe typical response from the left. You think blacks have it bad? You should try being a black conservative. They get messed with by the white bigots, but every one I've ever talked to said that they are treated worse by blacks who know they are conservative/republican. They get it from all sides. The old Uncle Tom syndrome. He's doing what he has to do to help the black community, he's working and earning a living for himself. He also teaches them the truth about what the democratic party has done to the black community through the wellfair state. He was also about the only Republican to turn on Newt Gingrich and call for him to resign when the scandal broke about his affair.

You can call him names all you want, but it only shows how closed your ignorant mind is....

You are wrong Udie. Just saying "get a job" or "quit yer whining" will not change the cold hard facts about racism in this country. Even if they are said by a black man.
I have raised 2 black sons (I am white btw) and I have seen them treated differently many times over the years. They have been stopped and cited for violations I would have never been concerned about. There is such a thing as DWB. (Driving While Black). My son was once cited for driving on tires that did not have enough tread. I guess that officer had incredible powers to see that on a moving vehicle.
Granted, his tires were worn. But the point is......white people don't normally have the feeling that someone is out to get them. Blacks often do because they have experienced such things. My son wasn't stopped because his tires were worn, he was stopped because he was in a car with 3 young black men at night. I'm rambling here, but I hope you all can understand.

Unfortunately I don't think racism will ever go away completely there are just to many stupid people out there. But it is better than it used to be and is getting better with each generation. I saw passive racism today getting gas, I didn't have to prepay, the black guy did

More blacks are in the middle class now than ever, I see them everyday, so that in itself says something. It does go the other way too though, I've seen it and been a victom of it alot in my life. I deal with it. You should try being white in job corps on Martin Luthar King day, I learned at 7 am that the safest place for me was in my bunk when a friend got jumped on the way to mess hall.

Ken Hamblim is a good guy and he is not a racist and neither are most conservatives.

Udie,the Constitution starts off"We,the people.." meaning every person of race,colour or creed.When someone starts quoting racial statistics and pointing the finger at certain groups regarding welfare,crime..etc..That person is ringing the "Division Bell" loud and clear.One could say %90 of all terrorism is done by followers of Islam but would promoting this do any good?The sooner we get over this mentallity and realize we are all the same race of people the better off we'll all be.

Then why do we still have afirmative action? Race based scholorships? It will never be gone completely, one reason is that there's too much money to be made off of it. J. Jackson..... Oh yeah, you don't need to quote the constitution to me, I have a copy of it on my desk at work. I read it all the time. Too bad our government lost it's copy.....

Ken represents "You are responsible for your OWN actions"...I could see why many of you hate him.

Ken is also involved in his local community, just about every program you can imagine. He's also an Ex-Seal.

Think of it this way:

You and a (fill in race here) man are in a race. All is fair except the man is told he must carry a piano. Half way through the race ....you decide it is unfair to have this man carry a piano, so he gets to put it down...........is the race fair now? How can you make it fair? Ken Hamblin and his success is anecdotal evidence. Look at the statistical evidence, look at the unemployment rates, look at the life expectancy. Racism hasn't ended, as you have admitted.

I can't help what was done to their people 100 or 200 or 300 or 50 or 30 years ago. The only thing I can do is lead a good life and NOT judge people based on race or any thing other than their character. BUT I will not pay for what people did to them in the past. Nobody in my family ever owned a slave. They need to get over it. If somebody exhibits racism to them, they need to deal with it. Move, call the authorities, what ever. I know how I delt with the situations I was faced with, most of the time I left the scene (out of fear of my well being).

You cannot deny that the problem has gotten better in the past 30-40 yrs. At this point I think they are in danger of creating more racist with all this race based BS that our gov throws at us. But it is a free country........

You ignored both of my questions. Is the race fair now? How can you make it fair? I don't deny things have gotten better. Thats what "putting down the piano" means. That doesn't change the facts.

Your analagy doesn't use good logic. What you are trying to compair it to is apples and oranges. Just because somebody was a slave 150 years ago doesn't have to mean that his ancestors still feel that weight. There's no way I can fix something that somebody else did to another person before I as born, that's where forgiveness comes in. LOL forgive me for what people did to other people before I was alive, I don't need that forgiveness I did nothing wrong. If some joe schmoe skin head decides to go kill a bunch of people there ain't nothing I can do about it, unless I get there while it's happening or just before the crazy guy starts. I'd be willing to bet that most of the black middle class you see figured out that it's better to fend for yourself than to let the gov do it, they dropped the piano and ran. Alot just dropped the piano and started crying "but i'm still losing" Oh yeah, who ever said life was fair? I could spend the rest of the week writing down the "unfair" things that happened to me just last year. All it would get me is sore fingers and in trouble at work.

Everything I own (which isn't much) I've worked my bellybutton off to earn. At this point in my life I'm responsible to no one but myself and my boss at work. I'm not responsible for anything that any other person has done on this planet except for what I have done and I refuse to be held accountable for what others did, period. You want a good fight? Try and make me pay for something that somebody else did, whooooo baby that'd be a good fight

This isn't freakin kindergarten where they punish all for what a few did.

Fair to whom? The man "with" the piano or the man "without"?

But you did! We paid the Japanese American people who were interned during WW2 for their troubles. I assume you are a taxpayer, so I say we. I also assume you weren't around or had anything to do with it.

Don't be so quick to use that "apples and oranges" diatribe. I'm not talking about slavery. And my analogy is right on the money.
Only 40 years ago most of the Universities in this country were loth to accept Black students unless they could run a quick 40, or dunk. How many generations of "equal treatment" does it take to make the race fair? Affirmative action is the remedy for a lack of opportunity, not for slavery 150 years ago.

The members of the black middle class, in general, had to work harder than the members of the white middle class to achieve their level of success (sorry no proof here just my opinion).

No one is asking the man "without" the piano to stop running. The starting line should be even though.....isn't that the American way? maybe provide a short cut for the guy at a disadvantage. Close the gap a little.
