Town symbol?
« on: August 07, 2006, 06:51:42 AM »
On the current map (Sunday nights)  just north of A36 there is a small yellow square. It looks just like the symbol for a town. But this one is at the top of a mountain and when you fly over it there is nothing there.  It even blinks red when a bad guy is nearby.

Not a bug.

That dot = the map rooms for CVs.

You'll find something similar on every map. Some are scattered individually. Others are all in one place.
Most of the people you meet in life are like slinkies. Pretty much useless, but still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

Thanks NHawk

Who'd a thunk it.  A map room for CVs.  A map room for CVs on a mountain top.

This begs the question.....  Why is there a map room for CVs on a mountain top?

Every base requires a map room. A CV group is nothing more than a floating base.

And before you ask, dropping troops on a CV map room does nothing. A CV is tied to the port it belongs to.

A technical detail but mentioning it anyway.
The yellow dot represents the maproom itself and not the town. You always have a maproom even if the field has no town.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.
