Eck Runza.  Their burgers are mediocre, on par with McDonald's, and the first time I had food there it was cold.  I never could understand why people like that place, but it was a local favorite where my grandparents used to live in Nebraska.

hmmm now I'm hungry, off to Bojangles now.

Man, you're about to get me to drive to Brooklyn.  2 hours for a box of chicken...  Yet, oh so delicious chicken!

Can't believe they've made it this far north...  That's a very good thing, indeed :aok

There's a Steak & Shake over in the Frisco/Plano area that's suppossed to be the best burger on the planet. I have yet to make the roadtrip.

If I've been known to drive two hours for a gas station hot dog in RI, I can drive for a box of Bojangles.

I dunno, they must put something in it :D

(and for the love of God no one had better post any theories and ruin my blissful ignorance :D )

Ummmmmm Bojangles  aaaaaaaaaaaa

The one thing I miss about Havenot, NC is Bojangles.  I would see a KFC commercial and have to make a run to BJs.  They just need to move one state west and I'm back to snacking on dirty rice and pintos.

For those in the Midwest, North, and Northeastern US, Carl's Jr. = Hardee's.  Same menu, same names, same Star logo, same everything.  Freaked me out when I moved and found this Carl's Jr. place with my familiar Hardee's menu.  Food is just as good though.

Does Carl's Jr have the full breakfast menu of Hardee's?  All the yummy biscuit sandwiches? There are subtle differences in the menu. There are no pastrami burgers at Hardee's that I am aware of.

Hardee's biscuits > Bojangle's biscuits.

There used to be a place called California Burger off Santa rita road right at the 580 ext in a little shopping center that was FANTASTIC.

Last time I went it was run down and nasty. I bet it will be gone soon. Damn shame. Best burger short of Vals in hayward I knew of.
