Lazs...NONE of your "other" detonation devices is close to what a cell phone can do

..Its remote controlled...from anywhere in the USA..or WORLD..Doesnt need to be plugged in...and is very small

Defnlty a great idea for its use as an IED..which are used in great numbers by islamic fanatic scum

We need profiling..If theses guys are just selling them to drug dealers..then thats great..but if it alteast shows..people are aware ..thats even better

Maybe someday we will even close our borders down....hopefully

I think anyone buying 1000 non traceable cell phones will get the attention of the authorities regardless of skin color. It's not a crime to buy that many cell phones but neither is questioning them about it.

looks like they panick and cut all links they can catch invastigating this potential treat.

I have the solution! License all cellphone use and establish a two-week waiting period before you're allowed to purchase one (after the background check is complete, of course).

I agree that the cops might have panicked on this moving in too soon. We probably don't know the whole story though.

It gives me a brain ache just saying it, but he's got a point here. There was cause to investigate, there was a real opportunity to see where the trail of ants leads. Had they been patient and by-the-book, the authorities could have unearthed the entire nest. Now, all they've got is three guys that they may have serious problems dragging to court.

Looks like they were just selling phones and not terrorists. They bought them and modified them to work in other locations.

They are still being charged with modifying the phones. You certainly can't have people going around buying stuff and improving the technology of it.

And they're being charged with money laundering(?). Looks more like face-saving charges to me.

As I said before, everything is against the law, it's just a matter of when they want to enforce it.
