ILLEGAL ALIEN-note that first word-ILLEGAL.

Why would they train someone to do something illegal?  That was my point.

You guys may not know this, but an american citizen can bring in as many aliens as they like, provided that they agree to be responsible for their actions while in the states.

Bring em on! Some of the hardest working individuals I have ever seen in my life were illegal aliens.  As a Texan I see them every day doing the work/labor that hardly any Americans are willing to do.  Texas owes, partialy at the very least, it's building boom of the last 10 years to the hard work of these people.  I can't blame them myself.  I know if I was poor living in Mexico every waking moment would be spent trying to get the USA.

If you ever want to see a 3rd world nation just go to El Paso Texas.  Head west on I-10 and look to your south. About 2 or 3 miles away you see Mexico.  There is a mountain that has tin shacks on it.  This is a neighborhood.  When I say tin shacks I mean just that too,  4 coragated tin walls w/ a couple of pieces of tin for a roof. Worst part about it is that there is a MacDonald's just across the border from them and it's smoke blows right into their bario.

More power to em!!! This is what this country was made for damnit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Give us your poor, your down trodden?  Does anybody remember these words?

You may argue whether the measure is correct but not what it is or supposed to be.

Also, my belief that IQ to be a good measure of intelligence does not in any way makes me any smarter. So I have no idea what you are referring to as trees and a forest in that case. Did you forget to type a post?

You are confusing trust of IQ with religion where believing is supposed to immediately change a person to the better. I fail to see the relevance of my beliefs on the subject of IQ to the opinion I ventured in this thread.

Just HAD to to say something about this   I.Q. test results (i.e. a calculated I.Q. score from an properly calibrated I.Q test (most commonly WAIS - Wechslers Adult Intelligence Scale) is indeed ONE way of measuring what we call intelligence - this number gives a somewhat good indication (correlation) of what your future holds for u in terms of what u can accomplish academically.  However, broken down into its (WAIS) subscales (i.e. comparing results of different tests in the WAIS battery) it says something about your current abilites within several cognitive categories, and is far more useful as a measure of someone's mental abilities.  I have used WAIS a lot, but never ever had any use of a calculated I.Q.  IMO it's only useful if no other data can be found or the patient demands it with a gun in his/her hand. I.Q. scores can wary 10-15 points based on what kind of mental shape you are in that day, if you have been on vacation recently etc. A high IQ score (135+) is probably a good INDICATOR that this person will succeed in an academic field (some 135+ people will of course fail to do that, being specially skilled dorks - it's statistics, not a personality analysis), a low IQ (< 75) is an indication that someone might be impaired in some way - it might be a mental problem OR it might be physical (ex. artritis).
Without subscale analysis it's impossible to tell... Definitions aside, I must say this: All people who has bragged to me about their (high) I.Q. has been unbearable idiots AND Stephen Hawkins would fail/do poorly on most I.Q. tests - I would trust my jugdement over any synthezised number any day.

No, what is happening is that our (U.S.) standard of living is getting closer to theirs (Mexico, Haiti, etc.).

Our highly-paid manufacturing and assembly jobs are moving en-masse south of the border, and to the Pacific Rim.

Our farm and ranch incomes are dropping drastically, thanks to NAFTA and massive government subsidies on the part of our so-called "trading" partners.

Yoj,

I assume you were attempting to be funny. I can't think of any other reason for your post. Just thought I'd let you know about today's paper article. Twelve illegals died Wednesday in the desert between Yuma and Ajo AZ. The smuggler (Coyote in local terms) abandoned them in 115 degree heat with no water or eve directions to help. Another 2 are in very serious condition and may not survive.

I guess from your point of view if they had had condoms they would be fine.
