I gave my wife a good mountain bicycle.
She was very happy with it, and me too:D
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

This is also a no-no. Tennis bracelets are known as "he screwed around on me" bracelets.

I have a friend that owns a gold & silver place. She and my sister have told me the same thing.

Well, you have indeed penetrated Holden and Charon's tricky code.  Well done sir, however did the boys at Blechley Park do without you?

2. A meat grinder attachment for the Kitchenaid - She's been having a real tough time with ground beef lately because of the weight loss surgery, the gristle that's in most of the commercial stuff we buy is a pain.  My thought: We'll be able to grind out own stuff AFTER removing the connective tissue that makes gristle.

That's two homers, afaict, but I'd like to get some other small stuff.  Am I missing anything obvious?  She's planning on becoming a real-estate agent or working for HUD, if that helps...

Have to agree with with rpm & company....utility type gifts are death sentences, as are anything to do with weight. (My familiy is pretty big, so I get previews of the married life). I'll have to say, the best gift I gave my girl was a bracelet-watch she noticed in a magazine one day.....I acted like I didn't care, but when she saw what I gave her it was tears of joy =)

Never hurts to treat her all girly...
I just recently got my wife a gift certificate for a massage for her B-day... she loved it.

And if she doesn't like it... a least i didn't give her the ability to kill me and a means to dispose of my body... :D

Give her a gift certificate for a day at a spa.

No way you loose with that one.
