Whats with the 200 MPH rule

yeah epic ide have to agree wit deez guys on this one, for a few reasons.

1) if u tryed to ditch on a smoothe patch of grass, more than likely some part of the plane would dig in an cause it to go into a violent rotation.

2) if u tryed to come in gear up on a runway the friction would disinegrate the belly of the plane, and possibly ingnite  the fuel.

but ur rite its not completely impossible to survive. but AH probably doesnt want to go into all the physics of disiphering who lives an who dies.

an F-15 can fly wit 1 wing, crazy things do happen

Come to Northern California. I'll take you up in a Mooney, which does 200 mph, and usually faster in a dive. We'll go upto 3k, over the ocean, and dive it down. We will do more then 200 mph over the ocean at 50 feet or less. Your bellybutton will be strapped to the nose of a bullet.

And only after,  we'll see if you are still complaining.

in Real Life, an aircraft would be ditching as slow as it could fly. A fighter type would probably only ditch if he was too low to bail.

I suggest you go and get yourself an aircarft manual, a pilot's handbook for any type of aircraft. Then look at the suggested speeds for such thing. You can learn alot by reading the pilot's operating handbook.

Oh indeed it could...  My buddy and I used to have a good time testing out my SHO vs. his GTP...  Worked real well until his GTP "scraped" a tree at *just* 75~ mph...  Let alone 200

Wolf,
On behalf of epic and all the other doubters here on the BBS, I accept your offer for such a ride.  I'm sure we'll prove your point quite well.  It is my understanding that there is no expiration date on this offer, and your speed brakes are guaranteed to be in good working order before the flight.

Thank you for your contribution to this issue.  I look forward to working with you.

:D
