Just wondering.
I woke up one morning, simply looked over at the clock...wham...room spinning worse than anything Ive ever experienced with booze. Lasted about 20 seconds
Slowly regained myself, walked to bathroom, wham, hit again. This time a bit less. I proceed to hurl my brains out. I never puke, never.
Eventually things returned normal, called in to work and had a friend take me to walk in care. Noticed I had a culture on the back of my throat blocking the drainage of the inner ear. After a day or so, back to normal but still wary.
Fast forward two months. Still dealing with it, some days better than most but I have that unsteadiness like Ive been spun around in an office chair.
Seeing the Dr tomorrow (again)...they've diagnosed it as benign positional vertigo, they think they can clear it up moving my head in various positions that forces the fluid in the inner ear to flush the crystals out that are causing the problem.
Its really un nerving, I was slated to go to my FAA Dr in a few weeks to renew my medical. I certainly want this overwith and gone!
Talked to a few people who have had this, say it hit them out of the blue then after going thru the office visit Im doing tomorrow, they were fine.
Ever have to deal with this?
Just wondering
