Yeah, Betty, you can't just say "donate parts" -- unless you know what parts are broken, what he needs, and all that stuff.
First he needs to figure out what's wrong with the PC. Then he can tell you what he needs to repair.
Power supply is just one part. He could have fried the motherboard. Or the CPU. Or the RAM. Or all three!
Or his monitor could have died. Or his video card as well. How old is the computer. Does he have a voltmeter? Can he take the PSU out of the case and test the connections on the pins to see if it does anything at all? Do any fans run when he turns it on? Does any thing happen at all?
