Are you asking for ranger's winter map? Cause if you are, you shouldnt ask for it in here, ask for it in the "Free Multiplayer" or the "Terrain Editor" forums.

http://downloads.hitechcreations.com/AHRHINE2.EXE, Rhine2 map (6.75MB download). It's in use sometimes, in the Special Events Arena or the Axis vs Allies arena.

There's no winter map in the MA for 3 reasons.

1) Few if any winter skins

2) It would most likely require custom objects which aren't allowed.

3) Just to change textures on everything would be a huge job and the map would be a minimum of 3 or 4 meg to download.
Most of the people you meet in life are like slinkies. Pretty much useless, but still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

I wish we had a winter map, I know it might not be practical, but if you are going to wish, wish big.

1) But I and many others are DYING to use the few winter skins we have. Maybe once a year at christmas?

2) Um, what custom objects?!?

3) How much would the textures have to change? Also, pre-cache?

1) They would have to be historically accurate and submitted to HT to be included in the game.

2) At the very least, trees without leafs and/or snow on them.

3) To do it properly every building, every ground and clutter object texture would need to be adapted to have some amount of snow cover. And since custom textures are contained in the .res file itself the download would be huge.

You don't need new objects, just re-texture the current trees. I have some leafless tree textures hidden somewhere on my computer collecting dust.

The Rhine map which was in the AvA not so long ago  is beautiful.

The terrain just looks so cool with all the snow and the airfields reminded me a little of il2 stormovik.

Cant see why a MA map cant be made if this one can be operational in AvA.

Nobody said the map had to be realistic. The skins are required to be historically accurate.

Just recently, I was the one who told a few people how to do that for a winter map. I was simply using it as an example of what might be needed. Custom objects are iffy at best. But the map size will be huge if everything is re-textured.

If you're talking about Rhine2, it's over 6meg in size. I don't think that acceptable for a MA map.
