unfortunately my "bumpers" are made of plastic, if you "rub" me you will do damage, then you and i will have a "discussion".

yup that's one of the drawbacks to these newer plastic bumpers  in the first place they don't "bump" well at all.  secondly even the slightest bump does create damage.  a man not paying attention to what he was doing slightly tapped our expedition in the front left side slightly making a concave in the plastic.  the poor unfortunate jamaican has no insurance and I wasn't about to waste three hours while the pembroke pines police responded so I sent him on his merry way.  that tap would cost $1500. to repair.  I like the way it looks though it gives the truck character and it's staying (so is $1500.00 in my pocket)  I considered reporting through allstate but I don't want my premiums raised.  besides there will probably a bigger collision in this truck's future, given driving conditions in the tri-county area it's simply a matter of time. or I could just cruise upstate and look for john  :D

Why don't you take off the bumper and tap that portion out?

considered that but it simply looks like too much work.  I'd rather spend my discreationary time doing other things.  (I work with my hands coming home and working with my hands holds little appeal) maybe I'll post a photo of the hit using my never been used photo hanger account. It's actually a very good looking ding it distinguishes the truck from the 10000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000 other expeditions out there.

I'm going to tie explosives to my rear bumper, so if you ever try to rub me it will blow you up.

Oh I understand, a friend knocked my car with her bus...err van.  It's got a nice 8 inch dent in the front right fender, there is some bending/scratches in both left rear quarter panels.  **** happens.

When I was being a "mechanic" this summer I really had no intention on fixinf stuff when I got home most of the time.

that sounds like fun, but you'll have to wait until I buy a new truck in 2009.  the toyota isn't for rubbing it blows up without the need for explosives.  sooooo for the meantime you and all you materialistic thing lovers are safe.  but only just barely :D

I got a chance to take some pictures this morning with better light than last night.

I spoke to the LT for the base police this morning. He seemed genuinely inspired... that or just extremely bored. He told the officer to patrol the nearby parking lots, interview the people that worked in the area, check with motor pool, the local auto shops, and the rental agencies. Their whole thing was, "This isn't an accident anymore. This is a crime." The insurance hasn't done their "adjustment" yet, but I'll guess that we're looking at a loss of $3000+. So, yeah... crime sounds about right.

every dent in my car happened when it was parked, nobody ever left a note, they are all small dents but it adds up when you have them fixed.

Maybe they saw your license plate and thought it was a terrorists truck. Look for vehicles with a W'04 sticker and you'll find the culprit.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Look for Florida plates.  Those 'necks think it's NASCAR or something.  :)
