In the 20-minute tape, al-Masri said that more than 4,000 foreign fighters have died fighting US-led and Iraqi government forces in Iraq.

Thats all???  Shoot, we've nearly lost 3,000 soldiers.  We should have at least a 10 to 1 kill ratio, like we did in Nam.

The insurgency has shifted from a predominantly foreign force to a 90% native Iraqi force.

But I still thought the U.S. had killed more than that.

Perhaps because 4000 foreign fighters have been killed...

and 4000 comes allegedly from AQ.  Could be more...

Part1:

can anyone explain how my post was different, in any way other than content, from this thread:

http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=188484

Part 2:

Seeing there is no difference, why was mine edited and the other not?

Any thoughts?

just having done a quick scan of this forum, there are numerous posts similar to this one, but, for some strange reason, not one of them has been edited like mine has been. Isn't that strange?

hmmmm!

Why don't you pose that question to Skuzzy in an e-mail toronto.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Thanks Mav,  but I guess it's not all that important. I did feel and still do that the story I posted was a very good one.

As john9001 posted about his anger at the sentence he quoted, I was more shocked and horrified by the statement this new leader in Iraq made about "urging the testing and use of biological and 'dirty' weapons against Americans in Iraq.

He also encourages the kidnapping of all westerners in Iraq.

That was why I posted it...absolutely appauling rhetoric. It gets me so mad, I almost start to shake.

Since the invasion of Iraq some estimates put the number of uniformed & non uniformed enemy combatants killed at 40,000. The number of foreign mercenaries (now, interestingly called "freedom fighters"- freeing whom from what?) killed at 10,000. So we have done well, considering what we have in Iraq begs the definition of combat. Unlike most armies if a patrol is killed by an IED Americans don't randomly kill a few dozen local civilians. We leave that tactic to our enemies and their bomb donkies (oh, I forgot- "martyrs").
