I frankly enjoy the fight both sides have about religion and conservative/liberal values, it has a balancing effect on our country, where neither side gets too powerful.

What I don't like is the paralyzing effect it has on our country recently, where we are no longer dynamic and cannot act fast enough to deal with real issues.

Assaults on the Constitution?

The Constitution was asssaulted, beaten, raped, and killed years ago.

Everyday the government continues to "function" up there in D.C. is an assualt on the constitution..well the faint memory of it anyway.
That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety
