Texas Governers race
« on: October 13, 2006, 04:45:22 PM »
WTF!!??:furious
Guess the governers race has turned into a 3 ring curcus on tv now
1st we got the "tough" granny who instead of talking about the issues and what she plans on doing while in office, we get to hear about her kids, all her grandkids and some looser who, 45 years ago wasnt alowed to marry her soooo he holds onto the ring, and waits to marry her now.....45 yrs later!! talk about holding a torch for somebody!! But, WTF does that have to do with being Gov?

Then we got Kinky who according to him knows how to make a dog happy :huh  and make it wag its tail!

No wonder independents rarley if ever win

Thank COD for DVR where i can fast forward thru the commercials of these genetic defectives!!

Do these people think they are actually going to get voted for with these goofy comercials? the only positive thing is they arent slinging the proverbial dirt...unfortunatly thats the comercials i actually enjoy!! guess im a tad twisted in that regard
Crap now I gotta redo my cool sig.....crap!!! I cant remeber how to do it all !!!!!

Guys ,

I'm not going to say that Perry doesn't have some power. He does. But , Dewhearst and Caddick run Texas. What they say , in each house , behind closed doors ,, is usually what will get done.

Been that way since good ole Gib Lewis and Bullock were there.

And yet Gib Lewis is a dolt who was about as bright as a small appliance bulb.

Of this I have personal knowledge as I worked for him in one of his private ventures.

Never has DVR been more appreciated than during election time.
Do not attribute to malice what can be easily explained by incompetence, fear, ignorance or stupidity, because there are millions more garden variety idiots walking around in the world than there are blackhearted Machiavellis.

The reason independents rarely win is not because they are wierd, it's because if their topics are popular enough, they get picked up by either of the main parties.

No doubt...Where I work I am exposed to EVERY session closely. What I have learned in my 15 years plus of being this close , is this.....

Smarts don't get you votes. Money and being able to talk B.S. to the MAX extreme gets you votes and wins elections. Once in office , you have to be ruthless , mean , backstabbing and if you have the power , what you say goes. Everyone at that point will kiss your a** like you wouldn't believe.

That is how the state is ran. Craddick is powerful. Dewhearst is powerful. Thier buds in the Senate and house that THEY like , will push legislation , that will ultimatley be passed. MOST times.

There are a FEW that buck the system a bit. They get a few things done. But most of the time , at least IMHO , the powerful few in the State , AS WELL AS Federal government , will be the ones that will ultimatley decide what you and I are paying for , or are able to do.

Perry can veto stuff , but when he does , it makes STATE WIDE news. They don't report much on the deals in the back room.

I actually took the time to stop by the Kinky website.... What i saw made sense. Fairly close to the small political party i vote for back here.

Anyone interested can read what they are about here. (middle of page)
