Seriously, the only reason I hang on to this game is because of my squad. They're my cartoon family in cartoon airplanes. I hope HT don't do away with big squads when they get back from.....

But there is a difference between us and other so-called mega-squads. On any given night you may find 10-15 of us online. Most of that time we are about doing our own thing. Unless of course it's drunken base capture nights. :D

We may have a lot of members but we have proven that we do not need numbers to be successful.

Back on topic. I say lower the cap back to 250. Hey, we are just trying to to get you out of the slums and into the prmised land.:lol

that kinda sucks.

why pay to be forced into a certain arena? people are too concerned about sticking to the old setup. they are unprepared to give some of the earlier arenas a try, they might just have some fun and learn something new/meet new people.

Well, that would have the effect of making the new people feel completely unwelcome. Now who else would want to fly in LW2 if it's populated entirely by noobs. It would certainly not help the noobs learn how the game and the community operates.

I believe it was stated that there wasn't a "technical" problem with the servers that forced the arena change, it was a "game play" problem that forced it.

Should a couple of "mega squads" move into MW arena, or the EW and call it home more people would either follow to fly with friends, or follow to fly against the mega-squad and their land grabbing ways, there by equallizing the arnes and making it possible for EVERYONE to be able to get into ALL the arenas when they wanted.  Hold your squad nights in MW, and try and do your land grab. If nobody showes to defend, you win the war !!! If they do show to defend, you could have some great fights. All the while helping the community by spreading out the population. Most of the mega squads have more than one squad night a week, have one night in EW, another in MW, or LW. Spread the fun around !!

Mega squads have a BIG influance on the game, make it a positive one and roam the arenas dealing death and destruction where you CAN, instead of closing down one arena with your numbers on a nightly basis.

Itys up to the community to make the arenas work as they are, because we all know, its NEVER going back! Its up to each of us!

Although we are below the 32 person limit and therefore are not a "mega squad" (if that is the definition), on squad nights we've tried the MW arena on several occasions -- only to see that we at times made up 70% of our "country".  At those times some would simply cry "milkrunning" and "hording" rather than make any effort to stop us.

You are right, though, that when they do finally up against us it can make for some fun fights (vs. Grim and AkAk et al a couple weekends ago, for example).  But that has been more rare than I would have hoped.

We will probably keep bouncing from time to time, but more population = more fun IMHO.  Unfortunatley LW is always the winner on that score.

lower the cap, dont create a new arena when one reaches the cap, and more people will make use of the other arenas

There are more problems with the EW than just numbers right now   Lowering the cap in one arena to force another to fill up is kind of lame though. I have flown in all 3 and it's the LW that I enjoy flying in the most.

I heard right after the change how so many people thought it was a great idea (and I like the changes with the higher caps) and that was the way a majority of players would like it to be. Yet the time since the change has proven that somewhat iffy to say the least. With 3/4's of the customers still in LW mainly it seems many players like the overall aspect of the game versus a pure furball rendition.

Nothing can be done to change that. People being forced into an arena isn't the answer, maybe having guys in the EW and MW setting up some nights for some fun. If you got 50 guys from the boards, and I can name 50 off the top of my head, coupled with the 40ish that are usually in there it would be a blast and I would definately be there.:aok

speaking entirely from a mega-squads perspective, we are a LW squad and will remain an LW squad, with no disire what so ever to change country's or to fly EW or MW. personaly checked em both out and was not for me. but if that is what you like you should be aloud to fly there with no problems.

no, the problem is 90% of the community didnt want the change in the first place, they liked the wide range of planes they could bump into, and they liked playing in a 750 people arena....

Id play in EW/MW if it had 200+ people in there, but it doesnt its always empty if i wanted small numbers, i wouldnt pay for AH and i would use H2H arenas

So your saying that if by some bazzare happening everyone left LW and it was just your squad in there you'd be happy and content? I suppose you watch the same 3 channels on TV too. Whats the matter, you afraid your squad would get hammered in the MW arena? Have trouble taking bases without your La7 :huh  This statment from above "we are a LW squad and will remain an LW squad, with no disire what so ever to change country's or to fly EW or MW.", sounds like a 12 year old crying about playing in his sandbox! If thats not the way you intended it, I'm sorry I came on a bit strong here.  Experament a bit, you might fiind you like trying new things.

E25280, I wouldn't think moving your squad nights to a different arena 1 or 2 times would work out like I stated, but if it happen often enought that people started to take notice, I think you'd see AKAK and friends show up more often to try and smack you guys down!  :D It may be a slow process, but I think you'll see it change.

The fun is there, we all just have to work together to find it and to have it! If people stay "set in there ways" nothing would ever evolve and all our cartoon planes would still look like boxes with wings!! Don't be the "stick in the mud" come on out and have some fun with the rest of us!!

it has no one in it, because people like yourself dont log in!!!

next time you log into AH, try logging onto the EW for a bit. see if there are any fights about (you may only find a few guys flying near a base, instead of the LW hordes, but those guys will usually be the more experienced players. you'll get better, more challenging, and most importantly, more FUN fights with these guys, and most of these vets will allow you to RTB for fuel or ammo when you need to [except that dweeb lazs, who tried to chase my hurri 1 around when i ran out of fuel. i had to make him auger to get him to piss off :D:p])

it beats the LW!

log on, see if you can find a few guys duking it out (you might even make a few new friends). i guarantee that if you log on, and stay with some of the few but excellent fights, more guys like yourself will log on, the numbers will rise, and you end up with a fun, less serious, more experienced arena that is more enjoyable to fly in...

try it sometime:aok

to add on what fugitive said, the whole not changing arenas or countrries thing is so stupid.

why do people have such loyalties to imaginary chess pieces? why MUST they fly late war rides? why do people care about what number rank they are? people really do take this game too seriously, just lighten up and enjoy it a bit more:rolleyes:
