Rip, I don't know about you, but the Tigers have literally beat the ***** out of both teams so far, and have been the Underdog's. The Yankees were "supposed to sweep the Tigers". Even though I had said since Oct. 1, that "you have a much better chance of beating the Yankees in a 5 game series than a 7 gamer."
Chokeland and the "great" Frank Thomas "were supposed to beat the Tigers". Milton Bradley's taunting while sprinting around third base only hurt their chances more. Also, his gay white sunglasses were on par with his pathetic career. I was at Game 4 of the ALCS here in Detroit. Oakland was celebrating in the 3rd and 4th inning's, but they forgot that they had 5-6 innings to play and were NOT at home.
Choocha, the Tigers have been laughed at, pissed on for almost 19 years. Now, they are giving Joe Buck, McCarver, ESPN, SI, and any other "Yankee Sucker" the middle finger. Personally, I'd rather face the Cards than the Mets. Puljols IS the Cards offense, period. Eckstein, Edmonds, Encarnacion (former Tiger who sucked then as much as now), Weaver (eh, he's ok) and their other "Former Angels Roster" don't scare me. Eckstein, Edmonds, Rolen are always one move away from the IR. That ISN'T what "you build a team around."
Edny Chavez last night perhaps eclipsed Willie Mays' basket catch with the Rolen robbing Sno-Cone/Double play. My jaw was dropped for AT LEAST !0 minutes after watching it.
Tigers should be able to outlast the Cards. If they beat up Carpenter, it will be a long series for the Cards. One thing that "non-Tiger" fans don't realize, is that each game a different Tiger steps up and wins the game.
