Hi ya Bizket. Long time.

Cards should bench Rolen. Should have done it 2 months ago.

And who doesn't like a game 7! :D

I guess you're not much of a baseball person... The Cardinals have a great starting pitcher staff, including the current Cy Young winner.

In a short series, anything can happen. Sometimes the better pitching staff gets beat.

Cardinals vs Tigers would be a pitching dominated series. However, the Cards are in trouble with Game 7 at Shea Stadium. I've been at all the Mets home game this series, and I'll be leaving here in about two hours for tonight's game.

Good pitching will shut down good hitting. The yankees didn;t have a chance against those young guns in Motown. That old-style power pitching, "here it is, if you can hit it, go get it," and fire it right down the heart of the plate. can;t beat that type of approach, if you have the heat and the balls to back it up.

The Cards are the new Braves, or the Colts. Look great in the season, then do just enough to lose in the playoffs. I think Edmonds' last meaningful hit was a walkoff two years ago in the NLCS.

I doubt they'll win tonight, and if they do, no one can counter Detroit's young guns.

Reguardless of who wins

With the NLCS going the full seven games who is helped or hurt the most by it?

On the one hand
Detroit will have had plenty of rest. While the 2 National League teams will go on short rest.

On the other hand.
Detroit has been idle. While the 2 National league teams are still in the groove of playing real games

Yep has been a long time. Got a new system so I'm back online under the handle bizz. Give me a shout if you see me online.

Ohh and BTW, we'll trade you Geoff Jenkins for Rolen. If you dont think thats fair we'll take a bullpen catcher or a batboy:aok

I would settle for a healthy Albert. :O)

Widewing you lucky dog!

DREDIOCK I think it may hurt Detroit the first game. But after that I don't know.

The Cards are pretty beat up, and I am surprised they made it this far. I would play Speizio,Duncan, and Taguchi tonight. Rolen with his injury, should have been benched 3 weeks ago.

GO CARDS! :D

Wow, best game I have seen in years. Would have said the same if the Mets had won. Give the Mets credit, they fought all the way.

I thought the Mets would win, after the catch to rob Rolen.

Bring on the Tigers. I want revenge for 1968! :D

I was fortunate to win a drawing for the series tickets.

Well, it was a great game... Perez did all anyone could ask. Two strikeouts in the bottom of the 9th, with bats on their shoulders (especially Beltran) got me nuts. You can't hit what you don't swing at.... The Met's had their chances...

To the derisive comments about Cardinals pitching:

Just remember that the Cards pretty much won this series with their arms. Except for Carp in Game 2 their wins came from Weaver, Suppan and the bullpen all but shutting DOWN the Mets.

Well, time to see if Dayne Perry beaten the horse AGAIN about how St. Louis shouldn't have even been there. Stupid national media.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Rip, I don't know about you, but the Tigers have literally beat the ***** out of both teams so far, and have been the Underdog's.    The Yankees were "supposed to sweep the Tigers".   Even though I had said since Oct. 1, that "you have a much better chance of beating the Yankees in a 5 game series than a 7 gamer."

Chokeland and the "great" Frank Thomas "were supposed to beat the Tigers".    Milton Bradley's taunting while sprinting around third base only hurt their chances more.   Also, his gay white sunglasses were on par with his pathetic career.   I was at Game 4 of the ALCS here in Detroit.   Oakland was celebrating in the 3rd and 4th inning's, but they forgot that they had 5-6 innings to play and were NOT at home.

Choocha, the Tigers have been laughed at, pissed on for almost 19 years.   Now, they are giving Joe Buck, McCarver, ESPN, SI, and any other "Yankee Sucker" the middle finger.    Personally, I'd rather face the Cards than the Mets.   Puljols IS the Cards offense, period.   Eckstein, Edmonds, Encarnacion (former Tiger who sucked then as much as now), Weaver (eh, he's ok) and their other "Former Angels Roster" don't scare me.    Eckstein, Edmonds, Rolen are always one move away from the IR.   That ISN'T what "you build a team around."

Edny Chavez last night perhaps eclipsed Willie Mays' basket catch with the Rolen robbing Sno-Cone/Double play.   My jaw was dropped for AT LEAST !0 minutes after watching it.

Tigers should be able to outlast the Cards.   If they beat up Carpenter, it will be a long series for the Cards.   One thing that "non-Tiger" fans don't realize, is that each game a different Tiger steps up and wins the game.
