on the internet.  If I miss an Epp I usually DL one from usenet (alt.binaires.scifi) and it's usually in HD.  Or get them from a torrent site.

I agree that good sci fi is not just special effects.

I find that I wouldn't want to live in the BSG world tho.   It seems like ridged socialism to me without any real individualism..  heavy handed government with complete control over every aspect of every citizens life.

Unlike the world created in Firefly... there was a world I would like to live in!

as far as the social aspects of the show, I don't see how free enterprise could make it there.  It would be like the inmates running the asylum.....not too much different then we have here today. ;)

The thing is that I haven't found any better quality than the crappy ~
350mb versions. Unfortunately I don't have an access to a good usenet server.

Lazs, the question is, how much of the central authority is inherent in their government, and how much is a secondary result of the Cylon attack?  Characters like Tom Zarek (Richard Hatch) seem to suggest that there's a lot of resistance to the heavy handed, authoritarian government that Roslyn set up.

The real problem, it seems, is that they need the centralized control of a fleet captain because of the immediate threat of the Cylons, and at the same time they need civilian control to set long term objectives as to the direction the survivors will go.  That's why the conflict between Roslyn and Adama was so great.

I bet Zarek will be the new leader, and he'll butt heads spectacularly with Adama.

I think they'll give it back to Roslyn , But with Tom as her Side now . (insert the bolth of them eating Crackers in bed scene here)

Baltar will get his own cylon Harem now and his own basestar .

the thing thats really missing from this BSG vs the Original, is the Diversity of each colony . they also dont mention the different goverments each had .

What about the kid with the funnay looking bear/dog/robot?

As far as Col. Tigh is concerned, got to be an eyepatch!!!

Now that BSG is a solid hit, how long before we see more of the original cast work themselves into the series? Richard Hatch has made a juicy little role for himself. How long before Dirk Benedict and Jane Seymour make an appearance? Lotsa planets between Caprica-II and Earth...

And he's really doing a great job with it, IMO.

As long as Lorne Green doesn't show up, we're fine.

I can do without Wolfman Jack too.
