A song idea I just recorded.

I think I could write a song every day. This is not complete and it's not a song really, but damn I have so many talents I scare myself.

I wish there was software wherre you could say hum or whistle a tune into it and have it automatically turn and record it into musical notation and perhaps a medi file.

Sometimes I just kinda make u0p a tune in my head and start humming it. Every once in a while I think. "Wow. that actually sounds pretty cool.
I wish I could keep it."

Unfortunately I dont know crap about writing music and playing a guitar is entry level at best let alone being able to play one creatively.

If you guys heard any of Nuke's old stuff (under Mr. Big) it is Nuke.  I could recognize that voice a mile away in a riot.

I used to carry one of those really small digital recorders...the kind you would use to tape a meeting or somthing, around when I drove. When I came up with a lyric or a melody or song idea, I'd record it. It's hard to remember an idea unless you have some way of putting it down.

You don't really need to know anything about music or be a great musician to be able to create a song. Home based digital recording is very inexpensive to get into right now. Just messing around with them is fun.

Yea but I was thinking it would be pretty cool to hum out a tune to the computer and have ti automatically convert it into a medi type file or something then add the different instruments play the different parts.
I had one in my head last week that woulda sounded great if done by orchesta. Horns Violins and a bass drum

I dunno, I like the quarter on the strings, adds something distinct.

Can you type the lyrics out?

Where you say playin,

Would,

Quit your playin around work into the song?
"So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart.
Trouble no one about their religion;
respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours.
Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life." - Chief Tecumseh

sing a few lines, hum a few beats or a rythym into your cell phone's voice recording feature.

Play it back whenever you like.  I do it when I hear a song on the radio.  Hit the record button and capture a few lines to google the lyrics and how to play it when I get home.
