Pier pressure is the forces exerted on the collums holding up the "Pier"

But..I'll make a prediction -
As soon as HT has sucked (suckered) enough people into the EW and MW arenas ENY will return.

Not welcome or not, your gonna get them, get used to it.

News flash! ENY will return when it's fixed. The current system doesn't work properly in the low number arenas.

Glad to give everyone something to have fun with.:o

Now there is someone else to pick on about spelling other than HT.

The current setup has its ups and downs, but over all.. I've had more fun since the change, then I did for a long time before it. At first I was against it because of the whole squad thing too, but then I realized how easy it is to type .f to find out where my squaddies were, and that you can still talk to squaddies if they are in different arenas.

Accept it, it's just the way it is...

I don't think that's correct. Side balancing was not the issue. It was a side effect.

What everyone seems to be missing was what was said in Pyro's email regarding this change. In addressing the MA he said it was not a community, it had become a slum. What happens in a slum? The lowest forms of human behavior become the norm. Civility becomes almost non-existant, and the general attitude bacomes "what is best for me and mine" not one of "what is best for all of us"

One need only look at what was happening in there and to some extent still happens in the LW arenas. The deliberate griefing of people. The accusations of spying when someone did change countries, the general bad behavoir on 200, not to mention the goings on on this BBS.

I would wager a guess, though we don't have and (rightly so) never will have the numbers, that the ratio of 2 weekers to new subscribers was a factor in this decision.

Was it the perfect solution? no. Could we as a "community" have avoided this decision? Probably, I don't know.

It's here and it's not changing back the way it was. So, we have 3 choices.
1. Stay, and be part of the solution.
2. Stay, and remain part of the problem.
3. Cancel your account.

I would hope that most of would choose #1. I certainly do not was to see people choosing #3.

pier pressure is the forces exerted on the "columns" holding up the "pier" at "coney" island by the tides in the ocean.:D

pier pressure can also be defined by the number of aging, overweight boozehounds who let go of their joysticks for a moment to shuffle their fat tulips to the end of the pier to see if anyone was catching sharks.thereby creating a stress factor that the original engineers of said pier could not have even imagined.
