For people wanting gameplay their way.

There really is no way for the strat whordes and the fuballers to get along within the present game parameters..

The only way that they can is if they avoid each other.   the new arenas have helped a bunch in that respect.

The problem is that with the current way the game is set up ... the so called strat guys can ruin the fun of the furballers but the furballers can't realisticaly ruin the fun of the toolshedders.

It is a situation that places the toolshedders in the same league as griefers so far as furballers are concerned.. there is no real difference in ruining gameplay for the furballers between a griefer doing it and a toolshedder doing it... it is just as easy for either and the the results are exactly the same as are the methods.

The solution will have to involve a different object for "winning".

Sorry Kev but that is just a myth. You label us intolerant because we voice our anger regarding some pinhead who bombs TT or sinks a CV at a good fight. Or when we voice our displeasure at a large squad coming into an under populated arena and overwhelming the sides.

I don't ever remember a so called "furballer" ever telling land grabbers that they have to stop doing what they are doing to join the furball. I have heard it on numerous occasions that the furballer should stop furballing and join the "war effort". i.e. "wasted resources"

So with that fact, who is telling who what to do?

Like I said, unless you can find ONE post from HT that prohibits ANY style of gameplay in ANY arena, get used to it, and get over it.

yeah--do a search on me and notice the things i replied to.--i never bothered to post on here ,until i started reading the bile that you 4 or five guys kept spewing out!!----absolutly no class---i really can,t believe that HT lets you guys stir up all the trouble that you have.  

do you 4 or 5 borg think you speak for entire furball loving community??-- i think not.  i think most of them would be embaressed by your posts and nasty barbs.

What I find so amusing about the arguments on the type of gameplay that is tolerated, etc...

HT is an enabler of those types of gameplay.  They have done nothing to prevent those types of gameplay.

* CVs can be sunk -- why not make em invincible
* Fields can be stratted -- why not make strats invincible
* Fields can be captured -- make fields uncapturable.
* etc...

Until those fundamentals change, no amount of arena splitting is going to change those behaviors.  Period.

My point is it's pointless to argue semantics of gameplay when the game is the reason for the types of gameplay.

People also have to realize that any particular arena is not *theirs*.

You really do believe your own line of bullchit, don't you?  Yeah, do a search.  In each thread how about counting how many times you or your squaddies slam somebody, then have then absolute nerve to claim WE are attacking people.  Matter a fact, show me a thread where a BoP starts off ataacking someone, cause I can spend a whole evening giving a list of threads that you guys do.  Never mind, I don't have to.  Just read the last month's worth of threads.  Plenty of examples there.  You people absolutely blow me away.  Keep tootin your own horns.  The people reading these threads are not stupid.  They see y'all for exactly what you are.

true, but i think discussing things that irk others may be helpfull for the community.  fights break out over suggestions, things get taken the wrong way, assumptions are made, thin skin is broken, and everyone is left trying to claim the moral high while throwing insults just as fast, in this virtual land of spin.

so to my point, discussing is fine, maybe some kind of understanding can be reached.   guess i'm not sure why discussion can't be done with both sides trying to understand where the other is coming from, especially in a game that is more like a sandbox.

FWIW, If you don't like the way some people make their points, or what they have to say, fine. But to jump in to each of those threads and make no point whatsoever except to complain, belittle, or try to harass, annoy, or flame those people for whatever reason makes you guilty of the exact same thing you're claiming to be opposed to.

It's a discussion board, and we're allowed to discuss things. When someone says, "look at X,Y, and Z because they do This", and I see A,B and C doing the same things, I'm going to point that out. If you're A,B, or C, and acting like X,Y, or Z, it's really hard to say that they're the only problem.

I'm trying to act a little better and a little more tolerant of your extreme views than I have been (and I have gone nowhere near as far as you or boner), and while you claim to be making that same effort, your actions are betraying your words.
