Wow dude that is terrible.  Being a musician myself i'd be so mad if some twit like that stole my guitars.  Best of luck in getting your stuff back man.

Oh and @ fink I couldn't help but notice your sig, is it directed towards me?  Because I haven't seen anyone post that on the bbs.

IMO the kid got what he had coming ... its to bad its  self inflicted  (sorry guys but I Hate Thieves )

I would make a point to fax or hand deliver to all the pawn shops in the area a list of the stolen equipment with serials, making sure the pawn shops know that a copy has been turned in to the local police.  Pawn shops, for the most part, are aware that they are always under close scrutiny for selling and buying stolen goods.

Gents, I don't have a comp at home, obviously, to reply so I can update you from work.  He came out of the coma yesterday, he is going to be alright.  I talked with several members of the family and they are going to bring up where my stuff is when it is appropriate at the hospital.  It is more than likely at the drug dealers house and I did find what part of town he his dealer lives in so I've been calling those pawn shops.  I had serial number for the computer so it is already in the system when pawn shops run the thing.  As for the guitars, me, my brother, and my bass player, none of us had serial numbers for the guitars.  Now that I know he is going to be OK, my human empathy towards him has turned to outright rage!  Being a musician, I have many many friends that are........lets say........ types that know how to get stuff done and  I am not beyond calling in a few favors.  I will not allow this young man to watermelon in my castle and get away with it!  I am a single father of two and I get no help from the mother and I don't have the means to over come this kind of loss easily.  I appreciate the support I am getting from you guys very much.  I can't help but feel the need to beat the ever living watermelon out of this punk!  I know that I will not do something stupid as to jeapordize my freedom and my ability to take care of my children, but God as my witness it is hard to fight the need for vengence knowing that he walked through my house deciding what he would and would not take from me to get one fix!  I did find that it was not Meth he was shooting, it was cocaine!  Again, I appreciate all the kind words and support from you guys, I can't tell you how humbling it is to know that there are so many "good" folks in this game.

38, I do appreciate your offer and know that I have done the same thing for folks that have been through times when they needed parts.  I have a friend that is scatching around his house for some stuff here locally and I might just take you up on a part or two if it will help.  I do appreciate your offer sir!.  I am going to let him look at what you have posted and see what my other friends have.  If it ends up that I can get one together with your help or without, please know that I appreciate it very much!  You just never know when your going to be that guy saying, "Hey, I'm computerless!"

I might have a old system lying around you can have, nothing special but it 'should' run AH2, albiet probably not at the highest settings.

Give me a few days to dig around.
