Rearm/Repair Pads
« on: November 03, 2006, 09:41:28 PM »
I've given this the most thought i ever gave anything and im thinking how about when we land and we have a missing aileron or a elevator instead of ending sortie to get a brand new plane u just go to the Rearm pad and  while its reloading your guns and ord u can bring up the damadge status and click the parts of your plane you want fixed.

It wouldnt take the holes outta ur wing or tail it would just give u a new elevator or watever u click. And for every part of ur plane u want fixed u have to stay on the rearm pad for an extra 20-30 sec.

Man, if we had that feature, alot more people would be racking up 10 to 15+ kills a sortie

Got no problem with that - make them wait a little more for it though - 2 to 3 minutes at least.

I agree totally latrobe.

I think this would be a good contribution to gameplay.

For all them spray and pray types that cant finish their kills they will have to learn to shoot properly.

ok maybe a new twist to the idea you only get repaired if troops/supplies are up on the base you landed at.....

only problem with that is they would have to buff up supplies so noone can go through with a LA and pork the troops/supplies in a matter of seconds

again handy another positive.

I like fights for bases to be exciting the possibility of a sneak back when a horde runs a base then moves onto the next one and u get the m3 in and take it back  priceless.

Too many times has a fight situation been spoilt by dweeb porkers.

There are always more uppers when they know troops are coming.  Porking is the easy way out.  Granted its the only way to stop a horde but it happens all too often.

re-arm pad is an anachromism which should be scrapped totally IMO..........

Airfield can be totally destroyed yet some how magically you can re arm and re fuel regadless of the fuel or ordinance situation at the field........

Would prefer that M3's had to deploy supplies which were available to stationary aircraft within range

Good point you need people to fix a plane.

thought of another way we can use rearm pads last night when I took a P47N w/ rkts and 2 1000lb bombs. I was flying to a base to drop bombs on vh and rkts on twn but wen i got there everything was dwn and we were vulchin everything. Now i had nothing to drop my ord on so i was thinking as i went to base to land and get a vulching plane "hey wat if we could just go to the rearm pad and select wat ord we want?"

That would be cool if we could just go to the rearm pad and select different ord selections instead of ending sortie all the time. But if u go to do that and u took off and had 100 fuel and now theres a limit of 75u had to select 75 or else u cant take off

1. Good Idea here's some tips

- Make the wait time a few minutes long, depending on parts. Such as half a wing will be 5+ minutes where as a Aileron would be 2+ minutes and a landing gear would be a minute or less

- Limit the amount of parts that you can repair. If the guys missing damn well near everything don't let him repair it all. Ex. Ailerons, elevators, halfwings (Basically he had a bad landing). Limit it to like 3 parts which is all you should need.

- No healing pilot wounds.

- Only at fields with supplies enabled. So it works the same way as GV's.

Therefore, you can't heal a pilot wound, risk being vulched, have to fly to a non porked field, and hope you get there without dieing. I would love it when I get 9 kills and a avacado blows my aileron off when I want 15+ kills. Also will help player base stop HOing, and spraying.

Kind Regards,

Krypto

This has been suggested numerous times in the past.

HTC has said no numerous times in the past.
