Humble & Biggles, the point is that this wasn't the place to go with those grievances. It's another squads recruitment thread. It was just plain rude to come in here and start complainging about those things. You can "kid" with your freinds. You don't "kid" with strangers who don't know you, and don't know you're playing around.

Humble's response was NOT a good one. As was said this is his recruitment thread. It's not a thread about toolsheddiers. If you wanted to defende the squadrons honor he should have came in and said my bad for jumping down the guys throat and left it alone.

Although the OP was exagerating on his initial post, his points are still valid. Everyone has been shot down while friendlies are around unexpectedly without getting a check 6. If you're a new guy without a squadron it happens to you ALOT since you're often flying in the face of too many enemy planes before your SA skills are up to the task. There's nothing wrong with being a noob. You have to start somewhere.

Yes

If you would enjoy flying missions with specific targets and goals and yes even perhaps returning from a mission alive

Yes

Like I said, the 113th Lucky Strikes is looking for like minded players.  Enjoy the game no matter what side you chose to fly for.  We in the 113th Lucky Strikes prefer to play the game the way it was intended.

from the Aces II High Help web page for game play:

"Gameplay
Capturing territory through the use of air, land and sea power is the objective of Aces High.   The arena terrain is divided into three countries, with each country starting with an equal number of fields, towns, cities, task groups, and a single headquarters for each country.  All countries have an equal amount of territory at the beginning of a war.

The map is broken up into zones, with each zone having an master field.  The master field controls the ownership of the factories which supply all other fields in the zone."

I know that must just kill every furballer who claims that the object of the  game is for furballing, but it's not.

Was just fine...

Have fun, you payed your nickel and you have every right to have it your way. However there are alot of knights just like me that chk 6 and clear 6's regardless of "squad affiliation".....but then I cant recall the last time I had 20 other knights around either.....hell I'm lucky to have 2 or 3.

the above snippet is the heart of my response....and I wasnt really kidding....just commenting. At no point did I or have I ever slammed a "baby seal" {Noob}. I spent alot of time as a trainer both here in AH and with various squads. I also get "schooled" myself more than I like to admit...

If you want to recruit for your squad go for it.....but talk to your plans and strengths (take a lesson from saxman). Dont throw garbage at others....

I'm not a furballer, in fact I fly more attack missions then fighter missions. This is simply another instance of your stereotyping folks. I'll give you two examples of "proper" gameplay....

If I have ords inbound to a VB I'll ask those on my side if they are capturing or have a good raging tank battle going. If they are just Tanking I'll either go tiger hunting or take out the troops and then cap the fight in my hog....

If I'm inbound to a airfield I'll take out the VH (unless again its just a tank battle) or town but dont ever take out a FH unless its a true capture mission.

On the other hand I also fly goons drive m-3s and fly support for capture missions.....

All the things you say "we" dont do....

BTW I noticed I have more captures this tour then you and your CO combined...also higher hit %'s in both the attack and bombing roles...if you look at damage points you'll see I have alot....so I'm carrying my ords to target. I also average 3+ k/d but land roughly 12.5% of them....

So basically I take my ords to target....more often then not hit what I'm aiming at and then hang around and fight until either I go bingo ammo or go down....

In fact if we're up as a squad, you'll normally find "us" {71st} doing the dirty work supporting exactly what you talk about. In fact if you go to either our web site or the BBS training forum you'll find a film (and brief write up) of a 109F hop that shows us flying support for another squads capture mission (which we do often)......hell I'm sure we'd even fly support for yours...

Traveler, ask HTC to lock or delete this thread and start another RECRUITMENT thread.

Although I doubt "humble" will be able to resist pissing all over that one too.

Humble, I posted an ad, a recruiting effort, not sure why you feel the need to personalize it, however, you repeatedly do.  I never said you were a furballer, I never said that you were a toolsheder.  I"ve reread the ad several time and I fail to see where I mention you or your squad or any squad for that matter except the 113th. What I do mention are things that have happen to everyone at some point in time in this game,  it's an Ad....

But why the personal attack?   I don't know you and I don't feel the need to follow your stats, or justify my squads game play, you however do. I have never asked you to change your game play or change your countries, you however, have.

Most of our member, squad mates only fly once a week.  so I have no idea what the percentages say about us and I don't care.  But when we do fly, it's as a unit, flying missions formations, wingmen covering wingmen.  a Lead shooter and a wingmen to keep his six cleared.

Like they used to tell you in high school sports, no I in TEAM, reread your posts , drop any sentence that contains the word "I" and  a good test of whether you have personalized a correspondence is to go back and count how many times you used the word “you”.

You have been very rude and it’s totally uncalled for.

was or is intended. you have my sincere apologies for any comments you felt were intended as such.

Your "ad" opened with a broadbrushed set of comments I felt and still feel are totally out of place. You comment specifically on alot of aspects of gameplay in a pompous manner.  I simply voiced my 2 cents....

Your comments thruout the thread simply re-enforce my original perception of you....

Best wishes

Been following you guys thia week Traveler and unfrotunatley we're not going to match up. You guys simply don't have enough active pilots.

I fly just about every day, and am looking for a squad where I can usually find a wingman whenever I log in. If you guys only fly once a week, and on an evening I can't fly then no matter how much I like the theme it's not going to work out.

Good luck with your recruitment drive.

Many fly during the week and at other times. We only have one offical Squad night, which is saturday evening EST .  But we are usually on Vox 113 when we are on, so if you find us, please feel free to join up, no matter what your ride is or day of the week.
