Noone will bother to kill that city.

Big loss of time.  (with today strat ).

Exept if...big formations of bombers come ( 1 form=10 or more planes ) and again you will need many players. (exept if you replace them with AI).
One city big like this means maps will never change.

Every change of map will be a little Stalingrad with combined operations
of gvs and bombers when at the same time fighters will try to kill them or protect them.
Nice idea and nice plan, IF is this what they want, BUT you need All the players of your country for that city and still maybe they are not enough.

In two words, that city can concetrate the whole war in 1 point gvs fighters and bombers, in a giand battle and furball (nice :)

BUT if the players dont bother, it will be just.. fubar.

I doubt we will be capturing cities ourselves in CT. City captures will probally go along with the dates in which they fell. Or capturing will be changed form the current format.

Maybe, but if we dont capture it and is just a carpet bomb target
then it has no interest.

If in ct you cant choose your fights, then you are assigned to bomb that town
and the nmy fighters are assigned to stop you then the point is the fight
and not the town destruction.
Town is only the excuse for the mission and the fight up there.

No strat, just another box sim with some humans between ai pilots.

Who knows, maybe its better for the yanger players. time will tell....

The good is that anyone who dont like this, arenas remain so he can join there.

The goal in CT is the completion of the mission objectives. I.E. bomb the factories, firebomb the City, protect the buff, defend against the attack, and make it back alive. This is how your character advances.

Fundamentally different than the MA.

Different yes, better ? we shall see....

My opinion is that nothing can replace the Freedom of MA.
You fly where you want when you want and you design your missions,
your war and way to fight.

they are great, and i cant wait for the huge scale of maybe 2 or 3 Scenarios happening at the same time in CT. for instance, 109s hit the formations of bombers.. then try and land and get vulched by 47s on jabo missions LOL

but i do understand what he is saying about the freedom of MA but it never really worked anyway...
