Picked this baby up today from local hobby store. He said some older man had passed away and his wife had given all his still boxed models to the store. This was the first one he brought in. He said it was quite rare. Hes gona let me look through the rest he has in back tomorrow.

Heres the last two two Ive completed. The P38 is alittle dusty. (Old house) The F-18 is the wrong shade of blue but it was all the store had and I like it and thats all that really matters to me. I just noticed the starboard missle and launcher are MIA. Probally in in the box. Both paint jobs are not very good considering it was my first models that I cared enough about to paint.

uhhmmm, I know you meant P61
I had this model but I cant remember if those guys were in the box or not.  at that time I didnt care about details.  Just put them together and play fighters with'm.   I think in that particular box that model was released about 1974 or 75.  I think I built mine about 75

No one made any negative comments. For the most part were all guys here. Were not your girlfriend. We wont jump on you for a small mistake. Well...for now atleast.

You should slide that pic of the p61 right over to the wishlist forum...

Of course the nay-sayers would complain that it's a night fighter and we don't have night...

I built that same model when I was a kid.  About 1979 - 1980.

I have a partially-finished P-61B that I was going to finish and send to Pyro as a gift to persuade him to introduce it into AH. :)  One of these days I'll finish it, but at the rate my kids keep me on the run, it looks like maybe retirement years!

Don't bother, been asking HT and Pyro for it since 1997, no results. :(
