Well were to begin hmmm.. I would like a personal apology from Fuze for what went on today. I was in no way cheating our looking for a advantage on my apounit. Coming on my vox channel and having a argument with another none squaddie about what he said while i am in a fight 1v1 for the win is not what i think koth is all about. The people that know me will tell you that i am a very good sport and never would do anything to disrespect other pilots in any fashion.

I took the afternoon off from work to play in koth and got jumped on in the first 10 mins. AH is entertainment for me and i would like to not have everyone on my back.  I was looking forward to fighting and play the tournament out today but what i got was disrespect from the koth admin. I expect this in main but from vets in the special arena that's out of hand. Because of this action a feel that i am not welcomed in koth.

My 2 cents

The event is still ongoing, FX1.  I'd be one to welcome you back in.

No disrespect here other than putting up an excellent fight.  What went on I do not know but you are by no means unwelcome and no hard feelings were held toward you even after you left.

See you back in there.

I'll apologize to everyone who attended FriKOTH, it was not one of our best ones.
__When a CM gets a complaint from a participant he has to deal with it. I did get a complaint. From my understanding this had happened before so to eliminate the perception of anything being done, whether it actually was done or wasn't, a change was made. That change was to have everyone tune radio 5 to 200. We later changed that to radio 5 to 101 so CMs could verify that everyone in the air was on the same radio channel. WMLute and I will discuss this further but it looks like this may be added to the Arena Message and all future KOTHs will require that radio 5 is set to 101.
__More rules make the event more complicated, from both the CM and participant side of things. I'd personally like less rules but it seems some folks need to see things explained or layed out in a rule.
__Every Aces High player is welcome in KOTH unless they blatently try to disrupt the event or break the rules. CMs volunteer their time for their events and I would hope they enjoy participating in them if they can. KOTH is the only event I regularly attended and now rarely fly them because I try to run them well and help WMLute run the SatKOTH. It is impossible for a CM to watch or listen to everything that goes on during an event and somethings will be seen or heard and others will not. That is where participants help by doing the best they can to stay away from the grey area's of the rules we have.
__I'll add this, if push comes to shove and proof surfaces, action will be taken. CMs routinely say 'no information should be given to people in flight' and I know we cover that going over the rules. That even includes the identity of those remaining, which may seem like a trivial thing to some. So if someone was receiving information on who was in flight, any damage to people inflight, their altitude, heading or speed; both the receiver and sender of that information will be acted upon. The receiver for not stopping the sender from giving it and the sender for giving that information.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

Imagine my surprise when I was told by another player to tune to a certain vox channel and I heard all that I did.  FX1, I was party to you being told information on private vox that is against the rules to be receiving.

What I am waiting for is a reasonable explanation from FX1 as to why he was getting the name of his opponent, and info about how damaged their plane was, etc, etc, on private vox.

THAT FX1, in no uncertain terms, is cheating.  Players in the tower using CM eye mode are not allowed to give pilots in flight information about their opponents.  There is no grey area here, it's a blatant rule violation, and will not be tolerated.

As far as apologies are concerned FX1, I am awaiting yours to the KOTH community.

Or at the very least, a really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, good explanation as to why you were getting this info via. private vox, and how you are to be held blameless for it.

FYI there is film of this.

well FX, you cheated, there isn't any negotiation over it, you are not allowed to get the inside edge by having someone fill you in on people's status. think about it, would you like someone sneaking info to your opponent about where to hit him, how damaged he is, whether he's hurt or not?

no, and no one wants to have someone feeding you info to give you an edge. KoTH isn't about winning, it's about some fun fights, some people forget that.

i wouldn't have a problem with it if you accepted you were wrong, explained that you didn't know you weren't allowed to do that, and apologised.

but instead of apologising you start ranting and accusing fuze of being disrespectful  what class...

By that I assume you think doing something that I specifically said not to do is OK?  WRONG!!

Information was given out on a person still flying from someone in the tower.
IMO, both the receiver and sender of the information broke the rule and both are in hot water.
What is left to be determined is how hot that water is.

I don't care what went down.  It's your complete disrespect for those that host the event after the fact that wore down my tolerance.  If you want to throw a tantrum that's fine but don't expect any respect for it.

If this had happened during an air race I can assure you that you're being shown more leniency by the KOTH staff than I would.  It's very hard to cheat in the races.  Vox doesn't help you.  The event is completely self policing but if you were to cut many corners after being told not to...you would've been gone long before it ever became a problem.

You can ask the racers...I'm not even a hard ***.

yet you still did...

you may not have known about it, fine, but throwing your toys outta the pram, and not even apologising for first off, your mistake, but most importantly, your arrogant and disrespectful attitude.

and still no apology, something i doubt now that you will bother with...

seriously, we're not all having a go at you, it's just quite incredible that you're so disrespectful to the CMs that have to put up with so much crap at times. the least you could do is apologise for being so insulting.

i can understand if you were confused over the rules, accepted that you were wrong, and apologised, and then went back to playing just fine...

but instead you were rude, then you came on here and made it even worse, without the class to even accept what you did was against the rules.
