How many times do you need to hear it? Its not the plane, its the pilot!

This tour I've flown in LW more than ever, and I've found it embarrassingly easy to rack up kills with energy fighting. And yes, that includes XVIs and LaLas. Most of the pilots I've seen have worse SA than I do..and thats saying something! When they spot me, they do the WRONG thing pretty consistantly -- like trying to evade by pulling up even thought I have more E. I've had more no-deflection 200 kills in the last week than I can remember. I've outrun La7s and P51s (only when necessary!) in tiffies and doras because the chasers dont know how to conserve their E in the chase.


The Spit XVI is a 1943 plane. If its so uber, why'd they ever change it? Dont play your enemies way, play the way that beats their way!

There is absolutely NO reason to perk those planes. I like killing them!

ok, well, first off, i do know what i'm talking about, seems i do more than you do. secondly, no need to be rude...

the la7 and spit16 are uber, but they aren't going to be perked kazaa. they weren't perked by HT before the changes, so why should they be now?

the LW, contrary to what you want, is not the old MA, it is a late war arena. why should late war planes be perked in their own arena? the current perk settings and perk values are just fine.

just kill the guys. they may be pretty powerful planes, but sually they're easier to kill than any other plane, seeing as most of the guys that fly them are skilless tards.

Most of the guys I end up getting have CPID's I dont recognise, probably because they're new. I'd consider myself a journeyman (as in "past an apprentice but far, far, far from a master carpenter"!); guys who have basic SA and a couple evasion tactics get away from me. When I feel like an adrenaline fight, I'll chase them down....but since the skies are so full of unaware targets, I've just let the competent go and enjoyed blowing up the easy ones lately!

What are you 16 Biggles ? I have a lot of respect for your piloting skills mate, but when you open your mouth it's a different story.

Deap down you know I'm right, and for those people who say  "if you perk those 2 planes, then you will have to perk all the other below it blah blah blah" what a load of crap, if these 2 planes are perked then we will have a lot more BALANCE in the LWA then we have now, that's why the perk system is there mate.

I'm not going to go on about this because I have the up most respect for the guys who made this game, but the fact of the matter is, perking the La7 has been a long time comming, and the Spit 16 should follow suit.

P.S: A  trial for a week or two would be a great idea. Is that so much to ask daniel son ?

In this case I have to side with Biggles -

Perk the La7 and the XVI and everyone floods to the next pair of planes (in the case of the XVI they'd goto the VIII), then it's perk them also.

Then the next pair get perked also, eventually it will be .45s at 10 paces .

What is needed is a more consistent perking policy, current one seems like a mish-mash, and some maybe even hold ons from when they were 1st introduced many many moons ago

Same goes for ENY values, some are just plain crazy.

Anyway, I have to side with the Dont perk team here. I just dont see the point in it, It will just cause a flood down to the next uber plane. If you dont like it, go and fly in the MW or EW. Just as much fun (If there's people in there) and I personally find nothing better than shooting down a Spit 9 with Spit 1! Brilliant fun! I just wish I had Channel 200 turned on to hear their reactions

 how about tweak it's performance on the IIc so it performs like the ground attack platform that it was.  the thing is just not modelled very faithfully.  having said that they die easily enough if you hit the tail surfaces or the henpit.

Hey, you know if they have the Spit XIV and F4U-4 perkified, then there's no reason NOT to have the Lgay-7 and Spixteen unperked.  I'd rather haven the only perked rides really superior ones like the Tempey, 262 and Komet, but if things like the C-Hog, Spit XIV and -4 hog are perked...

Then the Spit XVI and LA-7 are in the same category as those, easily.
